Climate change and the transformation of non-toxic sediments into toxic soils

<p>ENG: In recent years, the floodplain lakes of the Vistula River in Poland have been drying up and the sediments have been transforming into soils. The data show changes in physical and chemical properties between the sediments and the soils that developed from them. The study included texture, pH, hydrolytic acidity, total alkaline cations, total nitrogen, organic carbon, total content of Al, Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, P as well as heavy metals (Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn) and their speciation. In addition, a toxicity assessment of both materials was performed.</p> <p>PL: W ostatnich latach starorzecza Wisły wysychają, a osady przekształcają się w gleby. Dane pokazują zmiany właściwości fizycznych i chemicznych między osadami a glebami, kt&oacute;re się z nich wykształciły. Badania obejmowały uziarnienie, pH, kwasowość hydrolityczną, całkowitą zawartość kation&oacute;w zasadowych, azot całkowity, węgiel organiczny, całkowitą zawartość Al, Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, P, a także metali ciężkich (Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn) i ich specjację. Ponadto przeprowadzono ocenę toksyczności obydwu materiał&oacute;w.</p>

Transformed Eulerian mean data from the MERRA-2 reanalysis (monthly means)

<p>This dataset provides <strong>monthly</strong> and zonal mean variables derived from the MERRA-2 reanalysis, including terms of the transformed Eulerian mean (TEM) momentum budget.</p> <p>All variables (zonal, meridional and vertical wind speed, temperature, zonal wind tendencies from Eliassen-Palm (EP) flux divergence and advection, EP fluxes and the residual streamfunction) are obtained from 6-hourly and native vertical and spatial resolution data of the &#39;Assimilated&#39; (ASM, M2I3NVASM) collection. Zonal mean wind tendency from gravity wave drag is also provided, obtained from the M2T3NPUDT collection.</p> <p>Data are provided as one .zip file per decade (only partial for the 2020s). <strong>Daily</strong> means of the same quantities are provided in a companion dataset (10.5281/zenodo.6959944).</p> <p>The data and related documentation are provided &#39;as is&#39; and without any warranty of any kind. Users are invited to report any issue or inconsistency they may find.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Known issues:</p> <p>- All TEM terms divided by<em> </em><span><em>c</em><em>o</em><em>s</em>(<em>ϕ</em>) </span>diverge at the north and south poles (where <span><em>ϕ</em>=&plusmn;<em>&pi;</em>/2</span>), so they should not be considered. If variables at the poles are needed, values at neighbouring latitudes should be taken.</p>
