Data from: Evolution of floral diversity: genomics, genes and gamma
A salient feature of flowering plant diversification is the emergence of a novel suite of floral features coinciding with the origin of the most species-rich lineage, Pentapetalae. Advances in phylogenetics, developmental genetics and genomics, including new analyses presented here, are helping to reconstruct the specific evolutionary steps involved in the evolution of this clade. The enormous floral diversity among Pentapetalae appears to be built on a highly conserved ground plan of five-parted (pentamerous) flowers with whorled phyllotaxis. By contrast, lability in the number and arrangement of component parts of the flower characterize the early-diverging eudicot lineages subtending Pentapetalae. The diversification of Pentapetalae also coincides closely with ancient hexaploidy, referred to as the gamma whole-genome triplication, for which the phylogenetic timing, mechanistic details and molecular evolutionary consequences are as yet not fully resolved. Transcription factors regulating floral development often persist in duplicate or triplicate in gamma-derived genomes, and both individual genes and whole transcriptional programmes exhibit a shift from broadly overlapping to tightly defined expression domains in Pentapetalae flowers. Investigations of these changes associated with the origin of Pentapetalae can lead to a more comprehensive understanding of what is arguably one of the most important evolutionary diversification events within terrestrial plants.

Spectral hardness of X- and gamma-ray emissions from lightning stepped and dart leaders
<p>This repository has four folders dedicated to the 11 triggers outlined in the manuscript. Within each folder, the data is organized according to the four sensors:</p><ol><li><strong>Slow Antenna Folder:</strong> For every trigger, there is a corresponding .asc file paired with a complementary .readme file. Additionally, this folder includes a <i>.txt </i>file that lists the file names and UTC times.</li><li><strong>LEFA:</strong> The <i>*.txt</i> files within this section consist of four columns representing seconds after midnight (UTC), instrument power voltage, sensitive channel, medium channel, and unsensitive channel. The file names adhere to the format <i>lefa2-yymmdd-hhmm00.txt</i>, each containing one minute of LEFA data.</li><li><strong>DAS:</strong> Files in this category follow the format <i>XRAY_yyyy.mm.dd_hh-mm-ss_milliseconds.channel[B,C, or D].csv</i>, with UTC time. The file name corresponds to time zero in the data. The first column denotes seconds from/after zero, while the second column represents the measured data in Volts. The channels (B, C, D) correspond to Fast Antenna, LaBr detector, and NaI detector, respectively. The instrument has a sampling rate of 180 MHz.</li><li><strong>Fieldmill:</strong>The file names in this section adhere to the format<i> kv2022mmdd-hhmm.flt </i>and are accompanied by a calibration file.</li></ol>

Gut microbiota-derived gamma-aminobutyric acid from metformin treatment reduces hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury by inhibiting ferroptosis
<div>Hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury (HIRI) is a common and inevitable factor leading to poor prognosis in various liver diseases, making the outcomes of current treatments in the clinic unsatisfactory. Metformin has been demonstrated to be beneficial in alleviating HIRI in recent studies, however, the underpinning mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we found metformin mitigates HIRI-induced ferroptosis through reshaped gut microbiota in mice, which was confirmed by the results of fecal microbiota transplantation treatment but showed the elimination of the beneficial effects when gut bacteria were depleted using antibiotics. Detailedly, through 16S rRNA and metagenomic sequencing, we identified that the metformin-reshaped microbiota was characterized by the increase of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) producing bacteria. This increase was further confirmed by the elevation of GABA synthesis key enzymes, glutamic acid decarboxylase, and putrescine aminotransferase, in gut microbes of metformin-treated mice and healthy volunteers. Furthermore, the benefit of GABA against HIRI-induced ferroptosis was demonstrated in GABA-treated mice. Collectively, our data indicate that metformin can mitigate HIRI-induced ferroptosis by reshaping gut microbiota, with GABA identified as a key metabolite.</div>

Supplemental data: possible Sn126 decay gamma-ray fluxes from known SNRs and magnetars
<p>The tar file contains two separate data files.</p> <p>The file SNR_flux.txt contains the list of supernova remnants and their gamma-ray line fluxes from the decay of nucleus 126Sn at 666.3 keV (100% intensity). Fluxes are calculated by assuming a ejecta mass of 0.01 solar mass, containing number fraction of 126Sn of 1.7*10^-4. Note that this list only contains those SNRs with both the age and distance information available from http://www.physics.umanitoba.ca/snr/SNRcat/.</p> <p>The file magnetar_flux.txt contains instead the gamma-ray line fluxes from known magnetars with both the characteristic age and distance information available from http://www.physics.mcgill.ca/~pulsar/magnetar/main.html.</p>
