Stickleback sensory morphology 2015 & 2017 measurements and analysis files
<p>The peripheral sensory systems, whose morphological attributes help determine the acquisition of distinct types of information, provide a means to quantitatively compare multiple modalities of a species' sensory ecology. We used morphological metrics to characterize multiple sensory modalities—the visual, olfactory, and mechanosensory lateral line sensory systems—for <em>Gasterosteus aculeatus</em>, the three‐spined stickleback, to compare how sensory systems vary in animals that evolve in different ecological conditions. We hypothesized that the dimensions of sensory organs and correlations among sensory systems vary in populations adapted to marine and freshwater environments, and have diverged further among freshwater lake-dwelling populations. Our results showed that among environments, fish differed in which senses are relatively elaborated or reduced. When controlling for body length, littoral fish had larger eyes, more neuromasts, and smaller olfactory tissue area than pelagic or marine populations. We also found differences in the direction and magnitude of correlations among sensory systems for populations even within the same habitat type. Our data suggest that populations take different trajectories in how visual, olfactory, and lateral line systems respond to their environment. For the populations we studied, sensory modalities do not conform in a predictable way to the ecological categories we assigned.</p>

Monthly total freeboard and snow depth over Arctic sea ice from AMSR-E&2 and AVHRR measurements (2003-2020)
<p><strong>[Data description]</strong></p> <p>Monthly total freeboard (Ft), snow depth (hs), and snow depth uncertainty over Arctic sea ice data for January-February-March months of the 2003-2020 period produced by Lee and Shi et al. (2021, manuscript under review) are provided.</p> <p>Both variables are derived from satellite passive infrared and microwave measurements: Total freeboard was obtained from AMSR-E&2 measurements and snow depth was estimated from the AMSR and AVHRR measurements.</p> <p>The uploaded file titled "monthly averaged total freeboard and snow depth (JFM 2003-2020).zip" contains two directories: one for total freeboard and the other for snow depth. Laboratory data of measurements conducted on an n-decane saturated limestone sample using the forced-oscillation method
<p>This supporting information provides the numerical results of the laboratory experiments conducted on an n-decane saturated limestone sample with varying dead fluid volume. The supporting information includes: (1) the extensional attenuation, Poisson ratio, elastic moduli and strains in the rock measured at 0.1 Hz with the dead volume varying from 2 ml to 260 ml and also with the open fluid line, and (2) the frequency dependences of the attenuation, elastic moduli, Poisson ratio and strains obtained in the frequency range from 0.1 Hz to 120 Hz.</p>

Data from: Measuring nestedness: a comparative study of the performance of different metrics
Nullnest <p>The <code>nullnest</code> repository provides a set of programs developed for constructing a <strong>null model</strong> of bipartite networks which constraints the degree sequences -on average-, along with the measurement of the degree of <strong>nestedness</strong> of bipartite networks using a large variety of metrics allowing for the comparison of this value against the null expectation. The whole repository is documented and maintained at: <span><a href="https://github.com/cclaualc/nullnest">https://github.com/cclaualc/nullnest</a>.</span></p> <p>The package is divided into two main blocks. On the one hand, we provide a program to compute the null model, for any bipartite network introduced by the user, which keeps the original degree sequence constant on average while maximizing the entropy of the null ensemble. We also give the ready-to-use results of the null model for an important number of real networks available online. On the other hand, the package contains the programs to measure the degree of nestedness of any network, measuring as well the first two moments of its null distribution, either by using analytical expressions or by numerically sampling the null ensemble.</p> <p>For more information on the functioning, modificable options, implementation and references of this repository visit the <a href="https://github.com/cclaualc/nullnest">github link</a>. GloSAT Historical Measurement Table Dataset
<p>Dataset containing scanned historical measurement table documents from ship logs and land measurement stations. Annotations provided in this dataset are designed to allow finergrained table detection and table structure recognition models to be trained and tested. Annotations are region boundaries for tables, cells, headings, headers and captions.</p> <p>This dataset release includes code to train models on a training split, to use trained model checkpoints for inference and to evaluate interred results on a test split.
