<p>Tadhkirat-alumarâ (تذكرة الامرا).</p>
<p>The biographical dictionary of famous Amîrs and Khâns who served under the Moghul emperors of India, Akbar, Jahângîr, Shâhjahân , and ‘Âlamgîr, compiled by <a href="https://www.fihrist.org.uk/catalog/person_73885269">Kîwal Râm</a>, son of Raghunâth Dâs ; comp. Bodleian Cat.[<a href="http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3344766">Catalogue of the Persian, Turkish, Hindûstânî and Pushtû Manuscripts in the Bodleian Library</a>], no. 258 ; <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Pierre_Henri_Rieu">Rieu</a> i [<a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1301270">Catalogue of the Persian Manuscripts in the British Museum, vol. 1</a>], p. 339 ; <a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloys_Sprenger">A. Sprenger,</a> MSS. of the late <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Miers_Elliot">Sir H. Elliot</a>, in <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6619302"><em>Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society of Bengal</em>, vol. xxiii</a>. p. 239, no. 70; <a href="https://www.worldcat.org/identities/lccn-n87876334/">Elliot</a>, <em>History of India</em>, viii. p. 192. The date of composition is here distinctly 1194 (A.D. 1780); see fol. 2b, I.3. Other copies exhibit the dates 1184 and even (if it is not a mere mistake in writing) 1140 (as the Bodleian copy does , a date which after all would not be inconsistent with the chronology of the tadhkirah, as it does not mention any Amîrs beyond ‘Âlamgîr’s reign).</p>
<p>The work is divided into two bâbs, the <em>first </em>containing the Muḥammadan, the <em>second </em>the Hindû Amîrs, both in alphabetical order.</p>
<p>Each bâb is subdivided into two faṣls, viz.:</p>
<p><em>First bâb: </em>فصل اوّل در ذكر اميرانى كه بخطاب خانى و غيره سرافراز شده اند , on fol. 2b ; with an appendix, در ذكر وصل فصل اوّل , on fol. 197a .</p>
<p>Beginning:</p>
