Financing conditions of renewable energy projects – results from an EU wide survey
<p>The dataset contains data related to financing conditions and costs of capital for onshore wind, solar PV and offshore wind within the EU. It provides data on minimum, maximum and average country and technology-specific values on costs of debt, debt service coverage ratios, loan tenors, debt size, costs of equity and WACC values. The data was collected between September 2019 and April 2020.</p> <p>The data contains values for onshore wind in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden. Furthermore, it contains values for solar PV in Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. Finally, it also contains values for offshore wind in Belgium, France, Germany and UK. </p> <p>The PDF files are survey questionnaires that were used for the data collection. This includes 1) a survey questionnaire used in an exploratory research phase, in which we identified the most relevant research aspects related to the impacts of auctions on costs of capital and financing 2) a survey questionnaire used for the focus-group countries (Germany, Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Greece), which includes a list of more extensive qualitative questions and 3) a survey questionnaire used for the focus-group countries (all other EU member states) and which focused only on collecting the quantitative data. </p>
Online survey of needs and challenges of innovation ecosystems and intermediaries for taking up activity in the EU space sector
<p>The present dataset was generated as part of the "Needs and challenges of innovation ecosystems and intermediaries for taking up activity in the EU space sector" of the H2020 <a href="http://innorbit.eu">InnORBIT project</a>.</p> <p>The aim of this study was to identify and explore the available and missing skills of innovation intermediaries to provide business support services to innovators within their local ecosystems to develop commercial activity in space. The assessment of skills was based on a baseline framework encompassing a wide array of skills and competencies innovation intermediaries are supposed to possess in order to provide effective business support services to space innovators. The skills of the baseline framework are grouped into five broad categories: (i) space industry knowledge, (ii) business assessment knowledge, (iii) business support skills, (iv) organisational and digital skills and (v) soft skills. The baseline framework was originally developed by the InnORBIT consortium through research in related works of EU funded projects and publications and validated through a series of 15 interviews with top-level executives of organisations across the CEE and SEE area, belonging to the two target groups of the study (i.e., innovation intermediaries and innovators). An online survey was deployed from May 26th to June 18th using the EU Survey tool, to innovation intermediaries and innovators across the EU and CEE/SEE countries in particular. Two online questionnaires were developed building on the baseline skills framework - the first intended for innovation intermediaries asking them to perform a self-assessment of their skills in terms of providing business support services and the second targeting innovators, asking them to state their perception on how innovation intermediaries they have worked with, perform in each of the skills.</p> <p>The dataset contains four files:</p> <p>1. Zip file including the transcripts from 6 interviews with space innovators in Eastern Europe for the evaluation of the baseline framework of skills.</p> <p>2. Zip file including the transcripts from 9 interviews with innovation intermediaries in Eastern Europe for the evaluation of the baseline framework of skills.</p> <p>3. a pdf file of the digital questionnaires developed in EU Survey deployed to innovation intermediaries and innovators in the region</p> <p>4. An excel file with 104 valid responses collected from the online survey (56 innovation intermediaries and 48 innovators) across 16 EU countries / 21 countries total.</p> <p>The dataset contains only non-sensitive anonymised information and is in full compliance with the GDPR provisions. Any information leading to the identification of participants in activities (interviews, survey) is either modified or omitted and deonted with brackets.</p>

<p>The data set was generated within the research project Constructing AcTive CitizensHip with European Youth: Policies, Practices, Challenges and Solutions (CATCH-EyoU) funded by European Union, Horizon 2020 Programme - Grant Agreement No 649538. The data set is a truncated version of the adolescents’ and young adults’ longitudinal survey that was carried out in Estonia from October 2016 to February 2018. It merges results of two polls (15-19 and 20-30 year olds). Survey was conducted by Univversity of Tartu (UT) within the WP7 research activity which aims at testing processes influencing societal and political engagement of young people.</p>

CITIES2030 EU Survey Data
<p>Research project on local food systems conducted under the Cities2030 project. The Cities2030 is a Horizon 2020-funded project with 41 partners that share a similar vision towards improving food systems. <br>The survey has been developed by the Cities2030 project and coordinated by the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (more information at www.cities2030.eu).<br>The survey aimed to identify the obstacles and vulnerabilities of local food systems following a city-region food system approach. </p> <p>The survey has been conducted on more then 4.800 citizens across 20 EU countries with the purpose to collect their views and experiences with the local food systems. The data collected from the survey will be used by the Cities2030 project to develop future recommendations through rigorous research.</p> <p>The objective was collecting a representative sample of the 20 countries, with at least 400 interviews in the 5 most populous countries (sample error 4,9%) Spain, Turkey, Italy, France and Germany.<br>In Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Romania and Slovenia we collected at least 200 interviews (sample error 6,9%), while in the other two least populous countries, Iceland and Luxembourg, we gathered more than 100 interviews guaranteeing a sampling error of less than 10% (in the hypothesis of maximum variability and with a confidence level of 95%).</p> <p>The research was conducted by a certified Italian research institute (Questlab srl) which developed the platform for administering the survey in 18 languages. Data have been collected trough online panels with characteristics and policies in accordance with the international code ICC/ESOMAR (International Code of Marketing and Social ResearchPractice). The online survey was completely anonymous.</p> <p>The collection of questionnaires from the panelists took place from 9 April to 9 May 2024. The field remained open for spontaneous responses upon invitation of the project partners until May 31st.</p> <p>The datasets are in Excel format (with dictionary file) and in statistical software format (Stata and Spss).</p>

Migration to the EU: a survey of first-line practitioners during COVID-19
<p>This data base was created from responses to a survey designed and carried out by the project PERCEPTIONS, a European Union Horizon 2020 funded project (Grant Agreement No. 833870). The project examined <strong>how Europe and the EU are seen by people who have immigrated there or intend to do so.</strong> It examined what perceptions of Europe exist among migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, how they are formed, whether they correspond to reality and how they influence migration decisions. It also examined how the flow of information could be distorted and whether inaccurate information could lead to a threat to the security of migrants (e.g. through dangerous border crossings) or even national security (e.g. through radicalisation).</p> <p>The survey was carried out with <strong>first-line practitioners, defined as professionals who have contact with migrants in their work</strong>. It was distributed between October and December 2022 and received 788 responses. Participants could take the survey in 11 languages (Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Romanian and Spanish) and responses were received from 17 different countries (Austria, Algeria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Serbia, Spain, Tunisia, and the United Kingdom). </p> <p>The survey aimed to explore <strong>perceptions of Europe </strong>that first-line practitioners observe<strong> among migrants, </strong>how practitioners believe<strong> inaccurate information may influence migration, </strong>and the <strong>impacts of COVID-19 </strong>on the field of migration-related work.</p> <p>A report summarising the results of the survey can be accessed <a href="https://project.perceptions.eu/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2021/09/PERCEPTIONS-Report-A4-Migration-to-the-EU-A-survey-of-first-line-practitioners-perceptions-during-the-COVID-19-pandemic.pdf">here</a>. </p>

EU- Level Survey Data on Potential of Bioenergy Market Uptake - BECoop project
<p><strong><em>Activity Description:</em></strong><br> In this initiative, a quantivie online survey was distributed via Social Media, email, and other communication channels (i.e. WhatsApp), with the aim of accumulating 500 responses. The survey was specifically directed towards RESCoop members, authorities, and policymakers across Europe.</p> <p><strong><em>Purpose of the Surveys:</em></strong></p> <p>A comprehensive survey was crafted with the primary purpose of gathering insights conserning mainly the potential expansion of the bioenergy market within RESCoops. </p> <p>To ensure effective communication with the target audience, the questionnaire was initially developed in English, and the project partners collaborated to translate it into the six languages of the consortium: French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, and Spanish. This multilingual approach played a significant role in facilitating engagement.</p> <p>The translated survey was then administered online through a GDPR-compliant EU survey platform. Led by the pilot teams the survey's dissemination efforts acitively engaged the target audience, both within their respective regions and other european countries. The survey promotion phase spanned from February to May 2021, leveraging the extensive networks, social media accounts, websites, and communication channels of the BECoop project. The survey remained open until the end of the project.</p> <p>This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no. 952930.</p>

Building EU common indicators on migrant integration: The role of survey data on EMMs
<p>In May-June 2021, <a href="http://cost.eu/actions/CA16111/">ETHMIGSURVEYDATA</a>—a COST Action and research network dedicated to quantitative surveys on ethnic and migrant minorities' (EMMs') integration and inclusion—organized a <em>Policy Dialogue Webinar Series </em>to share ETHMIGSURVEYDATA’s main results, as well as to showcase EMM projects that are ongoing in policy-relevant institutions. EU-Level Crowdsourced Survey Data on Biomass Communities – BECoop project
<p><strong><em>Activity Description:</em></strong></p> <p>In this initiative, an English survey was strategically linked to a crowdsourcing campaign with the goal of garnering 5,000 responses from a diverse range of stakeholders and the general public across the European Union (EU).</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><em>Purpose of the Survey:</em></strong></p> <p>A comprehensive questionnaire was developed with the primary aim of identifying the perceptions, needs, barriers, and misconceptions affecting the market adoption of community bioenergy at the EU level. The survey sought to gain a nuanced understanding of stakeholders' and the general public's perspectives, ultimately contributing to informed decision-making and policy formulation in this vital domain.</p> <p>Leveraging platforms such as Clickworker, this approach facilitated the engagement of an independent global workforce to address defined tasks, offering swift access to data from a broad spectrum of participants encompassing various demographics, backgrounds, and interests.</p> <p>The data collection phase was executed between mid-April and June 2021, spanned across multiple waves.
