Size 7<sup>1/4</sup> in. by 4<sup>1/2</sup> in.; foll. 212. From thirteen to seventeen lines in a page.</p> <p>I.Foll. 1-24. Badr al-d&icirc;n Muḥammad SIBṬ M&Acirc;RID&Icirc;N&Icirc;&rsquo;S (d. A.H. 934) Commentary on a treatise in (<em>Rajaz</em>) verse. On the Law of Inheritance, styled المقدمة الرحبیة. Cf. Ḥ. Kh. iv. 398 sq., according to whom the treatise is properly entitled بغیة الباحث.<sup>1</sup> The author of it is not known. It begins in this MS. as follows:</p> <p>اول ما نستفتح المقالا بذکر ربنا تعالی (!) والحمدلله علی ما انعما حمدا یجلو عن القلب العمی</p> <p>The commentary commences:</p> <p>قال الشیخ الامام ....الحمدلله رب العالمین ...اما بعد فهذا شرح مختصر علی المقدمة الرحبیة فی الفرائض.</p> <p>Dated Saturday, 29<sup>th</sup> Muḥarram, 1080.</p> <p>II.Foll. 26-40. A moral treatise, styled انیس المتّقین, by &lsquo;ABD AL-ṢAMAD b. Ḥusain b. Muḥammad.</p> <p>Begins: الحمدلله الذی اقام السموات بغیر العماد. It is divided into five chapters, as follows:</p> <p>1. فی بیان الغفلة و التکفر (التفکر.r);</p> <p>2. العلم و الجهل;</p> <p>(3. العقل و الحموقة<sup>1</sup>;)</p> <p>4. الفقر و الدنیا;</p> <p>5. المتوکل و الحریص.</p> <p>Dated 17<sup>th</sup> Sha&rsquo;b&acirc;n..(year omitted). Transcribed by Shaikh Ibr&acirc;h&icirc;m کوبره, for his own use. The colophon is introduced by two <em>Persian </em>distichs.</p> <p>A defect after fol. 32.</p> <p>III.Foll. 41-172. Another work on Morals, probably entitled سراج القلوب. It was compiled from the traditions and various books, by an unknown author.</p> <p>Begins: الحمدلله علی ما اولانا و الصلوة ...و بعد فهذا سراجُ القلوب و علاج الذنوب اتیتُ فیه من الاحادیث و الآثار و المواعظ المُرِقّات و الحکایات النافعات الخ.</p> <p>It consists of a number of sections (فصل), the first of which is inscribed فی المبادرة الی الطاعة. Ghazz&acirc;l&icirc;, Y&acirc;fi&rsquo;&icirc;, Dam&icirc;r&icirc;, and others, are frequently quoted.</p> <p>Completed on Thursday, 14<sup>th</sup> Sha&rsquo;b&acirc;n, 1055, by Ḥ&acirc;fiẓ Aḥmad. Notes.</p> <p>IV.Foll. 173-175. A moral Ḳaṣ&icirc;dah, beginning:</p> <p>ایا طالب الرزق الهنئ و نعمة</p> <p>و من شر دنیا ثم اخری سلامة</p> <p>Cf. no. VI. It has the erroneous superscription تتمة کتاب السنن, which belongs to the next piece.</p> <p>V.<em>a</em>. Fol. 175<em>v</em>. The conclusion of ABU D&Acirc;&rsquo;&Ucirc;D SAJAST&Acirc;N&Icirc;&rsquo;S (d. A.H. 275) کتاب السنن. Cf. Ḥ. Kh. iii. 622.</p> <p><em>b</em>.Foll. 176 and 177. Various extracts.</p> <p>VI.Foll. 177<em>v</em>.-198. A collection of Prayers drawn from the Tradition. Author unknown.</p> <p>In two parts: 1. Daily prayers, الفصل الاول فیما تکرر للانسان فی الیوم و اللیلة من حین ایقاظه<sup>2</sup> من النوم الی نومه باللیل.</p> <p>2. Prayers for special occasions, الفصل الثانی فی اذکار و دعوات لامور عارضات.</p> <p>Begins: الحمدلله رب العالمین ...و بعد فاعلم ایّها الحریص علی محو<sup>3</sup> السیّئات، الراغب فی اکتساب الخیرات، ان الاشتغال بما ورد فی الحدیث النبوی من الاذکار و الدعوات الخ.</p> <p>Ends (fol. 198<em>r</em>.):</p> <p>خاتمة الکتاب فی خصال تورث البرکة و الوقر و تنفی السوء و الفقر ذکرها الامام الوصابی (!) فی کتاب البرکة نفعنا الله به و هی منظومة فی هذه الابیات.</p> <p>Then follows the beginning of the above-mentioned Ḳaṣ&icirc;dah (no. IV.), written on the margins of this page and the preceding.</p> <p>VII. Foll. 198<em>v</em>.-200. A short treatise on the properties of every hour in the week. Inscribed: هذا خصال هو الساعات (!).</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>الحمدلله علی ما هو اهله ...فان فی هذه الورقات خصائص الساعات خصائص ساعات یوم السبت الاولی لزحل ردیة الخ.</p> <p>It is followed by a list of the companions of the Prophet who knew the Koran by heart.</p> <p>VIII. Foll. 201-204. A legendary account of the wedding of F&acirc;ṭimah.</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>هذا قصة تزویج فاطمة رضی الله عنها قال الشیخ ان الله تبارک و تعالی خلق الخلق الخ.</p> <p>The contents of the first page, which had been lost, have been written on the margin of fol. 201.</p> <p>IX. Foll. 205-209. A fragment, containing the latter portion of a work on daily prayers.</p> <p>X. Foll. 210-212. A prayer in verse, inscribed هذا المناجات لقضاء الحوائج من المُجربات.</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>لک الحمد یا ذی الجود و المجد و العلی</p> <p>تبارکت تعطی من تشاء و تمنع</p> <p>With a <em>Persian </em>interlinear translation, also in verse. It is followed by various alleged sayings of the Prophet.</p> <p>Written by various hands.</p> <p>The seal of Ḥ&acirc;fiẓ Aḥmad (see no. III.) is impressed on most of the tracts.</p> <p>[Bibl.
