The role of nitrogen and iron biogeochemical cycles in the production and export of dissolved organic matter in agricultural headwater catchments

Data on soil solutions collected in the riparian area at 15 cm depth in an agricultural catchment in Brittany (France) during one hydrological cycle. Zero-tension lysimeters were collected at a fortnightly frequency from October 2022 to June 2023. Measurements inlcude dissolved organic matter concentration and composition (3D flurorescence), nitrates, iron, and phosphorus.

Data are published in Lambert et al., 2014, The role of nitrogen and iron biogeochemical cycles in the production and export of dissolved organic matter in agricultural headwater catchments, doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-2024-1212 (preprint).

Surface Ocean Biogeochemistry Regulates the Impact of Anthropogenic Aerosol Fe Deposition on the Cycling of Iron and Iron Isotopes in the North Pacific

Monthly-average (year 2014) netcdf output files of NEMO/PISCES Fe isotope model experiments on the ORCA2 grid for experiments with updated iron deposition fields; "ptrc" files contain model outputs for heavy and light iron tracers, "diad" files contain diagnostic model outputs for iron uptake (of light and heavy iron), primary production (for diatoms and nanophytoplankton), and iron deposition fluxes (from dust, anthropogenic, and fire sources).

Data for Ligand exchange provides new insight into the role of humic substances in the marine iron cycle

This repository contains (i) all the data included in the study "Ligand exchange provides new insight into the role of humic substances in the marine iron cycle" in seven XSLX files, and (ii) twelve scripts and eight CSV files used to model the data with Dynafit software (http://www.biokin.com/dynafit/). A readme file is included to guide the calculations.

The data sets originated when iron-saturated complexes of humic substances (fulvic acid and humic acid from the International Humic Substances Society) in seawater were subjected to iron ligand exchange after addition of an iron-free competing ligand, in most cases desferrioxamine B. In four cases EDTA and protoporphyrin IX were used as competing ligands to understand the effect of the chemical nature of the competing ligand. Additionally, reversibility was also tested. The concentration of the Fe-humic complexes was monitored by catalytic cathodic stripping voltammetry (10.4319/lo.2009.54.2.0610), a method not sensitive to the other iron species and free iron present.
