It contains in alphabetical order 135 of the most renowned ancient and modern poets, comp. Bodleian Catal., No. 381, where a full list of all the biographies is given; Rieu i. p. 373, where the twenty-one authorities are enumerated, on which this work is founded; A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 143; Bland, in Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, ix. pp. 40-43; Elliot, History of India, viii. p. 188; see also No. 490 in this Cat., where extracts from the account of the Marattahs (inserted in this tadhkirah after the tenth biography) are found.
