The dataset of lamina structure in fine-grained rocks

<p>Fine-grained sedimentary rocks account for two-thirds of all sedimentary rocks, and contain multi-scale lamina structure. Lamina structure contain important information about paleoenvironmental reconstruction, climate change, depositional processes, hydrocarbon accumulation and even global carbon cycle. Fine-grained sedimentary rocks can be divided into massive, layered and laminated according to core-scale lamina observation. Thin section observation reveals that the mineral composition of individual lamina includes carbonate, silt, clay mineral, tuffaceous lamina and organic matter lamina in the micrometer-scales. However, for intervals without core data control, geophysical well logs are needed to predict the multi-scale lamina structure in fine-grained sedimentary rocks. High resolution image logs provide 5 mm vertical resolution images, however, they don&rsquo;t highlight the lamina characteristics, therefore image logs are used to generate the slab image and button conductivity curves to facilitate the recognition of lamina structure up to 2.5 vertical resolution. This novel and multidisciplinary approach provides a powerful method for continuously identifying lamina structure with a 2.5 mm vertical resolution using well logs.</p>

Flow cytometry of mesenteric lymph nodes, small and large intestinal lamina propria, and spinal cord cells from fibre-rich and fiber-free diet-fed gnotobiotic mice at baseline and after experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) induction

<p>We perform profiling of different immune cell populations in the small (SILP) and large intestine lamina propria (CLP), mesenteric lymph nodes (MLN) and spinal cords (SC). We are specifically interested to evaluate the impact of dietary fiber deprivation followed by mucus erosion on the immune cell profiles of T helper cells (Th cells, T cell population) of gnotobiotic mice fed a fiber-rich (FR) or fiber-free (FF) diet. This dataset aims to assess the impact of microbiome and diet on disease course in a mouse model of multiple sclerosis (experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, EAE) via T cell populations. Mice are either germ-free or colonized by intragastric gavage with a defined variation of a 14-member synthetic human gut microbiome (doi: 10.1016/j.cell.2016.10.043 and 10.1016/j.xpro.2021.100607): SM01 (Akkermansia muciniphila monocolonisation), SM03 (Bacteroides caccae, Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, Barnesiella intestinihominis), SM04 (B. caccae, B. thetaiotaomicron, B. intestinihominis, A. muciniphila), SM12 (full community except mucin-specialists B. intestinihominis and A. muciniphila), SM13 (full community except mucin specialist A. muciniphila), or SM14 (full community: Roseburia intestinalis, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Marvinbryantia formatexigens, Collinsella aerofaciens, Desulfovibrio piger, B. caccae, B. thetaiotaomicron, Bacteroides ovatus, Bacteroides uniformis, B. intestinihominis, Eubacterium rectale, Clostridium symbiosum, Escherichia coli, and A. muciniphila). At age 5 to 8 weeks, mice were colonized with SM combinations while fed an FR diet. Mice were either maintained on an FR diet or switched to an FF diet at 5 days after initial colonization, until the end of experiment. Baseline samples were collected 20 days following the diet switch. Otherwise, EAE induction was performed 15 days after the diet switch and samples were collected 30 days after the induction.</p>

Shihua cave stalagmite CS01C d18O, d13C, lamina thickness, and stalagmite SHD1311 d18O during early Holocene 11.3 - 10 ka BP

<p>Here&nbsp;we present results of 230Th dating, stable isotope and lamina thickness data from two stalagmites (CS01C and SHD1311) from Shihua Cave (latitude 39&acute;47&deg;N, longitude 115&acute;56&deg;E; altitude 251 m a.s.l. at the entrance), northern China, during 11.32 to 10 ka BP. &nbsp;CS01C developed with clear annual lamina. The age model of CS01C is based on lamina counting. The age model of SHD1311 is&nbsp;established using the COPRA algorithm.&nbsp; The variability of stalagmite &delta;18O records is interpreted as a proxy of regional summer monsoon precipitation and/or EASM intensity.&nbsp;Stalagmite &delta;18O records show two weak summer monsoon events at 10.9 and 10.3 ka. The 10.9-ka event occurred from 10.93&ndash;10.79 ka BP for ~140 yr and features a &ldquo;W&rdquo;-shaped structure. The 10.3-ka event, also known as the ice-rafted debris event 7 in the North Atlantic, lasted ~260 yr with an asymmetric double-plunging structure.</p>
