Fish trap catch, set, and environmental data from Shark Bay Marine Park, Western Australia from May 2010 to July 2012
This dataset provides information on fish traps set within the study area from 2010 to 2012, including animals caught, relevent environmental and trap data, animal specific measurements and logging of samples retained. Additionally the dataset contains stable isotope values for individuals that were retained for Stable Isotope Analysis in addition to stomach content data. These data provide insight into teleost communities that utilize various habitats within Shark Bay with further insights into their trophic relationships.
Cichlasoma urophthalmus cytochrome b sequences collected from the Florida Everglades (FCE) and Central America from January 2012 to May 2014
Cytochrome b sequences obtained from samples of Cichlasoma urophthalmus collected within the Florida Everglades and Central America. Samples were collected from fin clippings of fish caught by angling and/or cast netting. DNA was extracted, amplified and cytochrome b was sequenced. Data were used to determine the source for Mayan Cichlids in Florida.
AMPERE GRD & IRD Data (2012-May)
<p>2012-May AMPERE GRD and IRD data.</p><p>AMPERE IRD files contain hemispheric delta-B observations in global coordinates (geographic and AACGM). Data are blocked into 10-minute 'chunks' at 2-minute resolution for use in the fitting algorithm. Measurements flagged 'bad' in the earlier processing are removed prior to entry in IRD.</p><p>AMPERE GRD files contain hemispheric delta-B and Birkeland current fits at 2-minute resolution.</p>
SuperDARN Grid data in netCDF format (2012-May)
<p>2012-May SuperDARN radar data in netCDF format. These files were produced using versions 3.0 of the public FitACF and make_grid algorithms, using the AACGM v2 coordinate system. The Carbon in Permafrost Experimental Heating Research (CiPEHR) project addresses the following questions: 1) Does ecosystem warming cause a net release of C from the ecosystem to the atmosphere?, 2) Does the decomposition of old C, that comprises the bulk of the soil C pool, influence ecosystem C loss?, and 3) How do winter and summer warming alone, and in combination, affect ecosystem C exchange? We are answering these questions using a combination of field and laboratory experiments to measure ecosystem carbon balance and radiocarbon isotope ratios at a warming experiment located in an upland tundra field site near Healy, Alaska in the foothills of the Alaska Range. This dataset contains point measurements of winter ecosystem respiration fluxes using the snow removal method and the soil temperature, air temperature, and snow depth associated with each flux.

This drying and warming experiment addresses the following questions: 1) Does ecosystem drying, warming and permafrost thaw cause a net release or uptake of C from the ecosystem to the atmosphere?, 2) Does the decomposition of old C that comprises the bulk of the soil C pool influence ecosystem C loss? 3) How do drying and warmign affect plant communities and ecosystem properties? We are answering these questions using a combined warming and drying experiment (DryPEHR), which is situated with the Carbon in Permafrost Experimental Heating Research (CiPEHR) project and located in an upland tundra field site near Healy, Alaska in the foothills of the Alaska Range. Warming treatment here refers to growing season air temperature warming (~1C) using open top chambers (OTC) combined with soil 'warming' using snow fences during the snow covered months. Drying is achieve using an automated pumping system that lowers the water table in the dry plots. Soil warming began in 2008; OTCs and drying in 2011. This dataset contains point measurements of winter ecosystem respiration fluxes using the on-plot method and the soil temperature, air temperature, and snow depth associated with each flux.
Taiwan Coral Reef: Seawater pH, Temperature and Depth Time Series from Bottom-mounted Sensors on the Fringing Reef in Nanwan Bay, May-July 2012
Bottom-mounted instrumentation (SeaFET, Seabird conductivity/temperature sensor, Hobo water level data loggers) sampled for 7 weeks on the Hobihu fringing reef in Nanwan Bay, Taiwan. Sampling began in May 2012. The instruments were secured to anchored fencing stakes at 4 meters depth and 0.6 meters above the sandy bottom. The SeaFET recorded voltages from a thermistor and pH electrodes at a 10-minute sampling interval. Discrete seawater samples were collected using a Niskin bottle during the deployment; pH, salinity, and total alkalinity of this sample were measured to calculate seawater pH (total scale) from raw SeaFET data as well as other carbonate chemistry parameters. Adjacent to the SeaFET were a Seabird sensor and two HOBO® water level data loggers, synchronized with the SeaFET to simultaneously record conductivity, temperature and depth.

Dobrudden South 11 (May 2012)
This carved rock can be found to the east of Dobrudden Caravan Park on Baildon Moor, West Yorkshire. Historic England's scheduling describes this carved rock as sitting on the SE edge of a small round cairn. It's referenced IAG159 in Boughey & Vickerman's 2003 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding' where it's described as: 'Long, rough grit rock. Six cups.' The CSI: Rombalds Moor project subsequently referenced the stone 'Dobrudden (South) 11' on ERA in 2013, but only noted four cups. Helicopter-based GPR survey of Rutor glacier and nearby glaciers, Aosta Valley, Italy, in May 2012
<p>This dataset contains Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data collected on May 2012, from helicopter, with a 70 Mhz antenna, on the Rutor Glacier (files numbered from 6 to 10), and nearby glaciers situated in Aosta Valley (European Alps). They were collected for ARPA Val d'Aosta, the local environmental protection agency.</p> <p>The Rutor glacier data and their interpretation, at August 2024, are also being submitted to The Cryosphere scientific journal, in a possible future publication entitled Ground penetrating radar on Rutor temperate glacier supported by ice-thickness modeling algorithms for bedrock detection, by Andrea Vergnano, Diego Franco and Alberto Godio.</p> <p><br>The .DZT files are the data files. They can be opened with specialistic geophysical software. In particular, a free and open access package is available, called RGPR and installable in the R environment. (https://cran.r-project.org/) (https://emanuelhuber.github.io/RGPR/). Bacterial abundance and produciton at the Palmer Station LTER sites B and E in May 2011 and 2012
The data described here were collected as part of a study of photoheterotrophic microbes in Antarctic waters (NSF OPP 0838830). This sampling was conducted in May outside of the LTER sampling season at Palmer Station. Samplng was conducted by pumping water from a depth of 1 m into carboys that were returned to the lab.
