From forest strategy to measures: what are forest owner attitudes & area size responses toward climate-proof forest management in Sweden and the Netherlands?
<p>The anonymous datasets from Swedish (records of 98 responses) and Dutch forest climate surveys (records of 241 responses), which are used for the statistical Kruskal Wallis tests, are freely available and accessible via this repository database (https://zenodo.org), as prescribed by the FAIR data policy of the Forclimit project sponsors. </p> <p>The surveys and the Small Scale Forestry article are deliverables of the European 2017-2020 Forclimit project "<em>Mobilizing and monitoring climate positive efforts in the forest sector" </em>The umbrella of the project is FACCE ERA-GAS, i.e. ERA-NET <em>co-fund for monitoring & mitigation of GHG from agriculture and sylviculture </em>(Horizon2020, award # 696356)<em>. </em>The other co-funders are the Dutch research council 'NWO' (grant award # 516-095-7542) and its Swedish equivalent 'FORMAS' (grant award # 2017-01751). </p>

<p>The excel file contains the replies of small-scale private forest owners in Lower Saxony, Germany, to certain questions of a survey analyzed within the following publication: "Small-scale private forest owners and the European Natura 2000 conservation network: Perceived ecosystem services, management practices, and nature conservation attitudes”.<br> <br> The questions included in this dataset cover their objectives, management activities, attitudes and forest stand structures. Further details can be found in the second sheet of the file called “Code explanation”.<br> <br> More information about the methods of data collection can be found in the before-mentioned publication.</p>

<p>This dataset (N=3857) contains responses to a survey conducted in Finland in 2022. The survey investigates lifestyle, car use, environmental and political attitudes, household carbon footprints, and attitudes towards electric vehicles. It is used in a study comparing electric vehicle owners to the general population, examining attitudes, concerns, and barriers related to electric vehicle adoption in Finland.</p> <p>The dataset is derived from the 2022 CLIMATE NUDGE survey (<a href="https://osf.io/3s8uc" target="_new" rel="noreferrer">https://osf.io/3s8uc</a>).</p>
