FIGURE 1. Maximum likelihood phylogeny of the Pteris fauriei group based on five cpDNA regions (atpA, matK, rbcL, rps4-trnS & trnL-trnF). The main taxa of the P. fauriei group are divided into four subgroups (Ⅰ, II, III, IV), with P. arisanensis and P. spinescens as successive sisters. Support values (maximum likelihood bootstrap support, maximum parsimony jackknife support and Bayesian inference posterior probability) are shown along the branches. Dash (-) indicates nodes with MLBS<10%, MPJK <10%, or BIPP <0.1.
