Dataset for "Impact of the flow-field distribution channel cross-section geometry on PEM fuel cell performance: stamped vs. milled channel"

Experimental data comprises raw data from load curve characterisation of a PEM fuel cell used for the validation of the mathematical model. Model data comprise of space-dependent values of hydrogen and oxygen concentration, local current densities, gas pressures and gas velocities in the modelled cell. These data were used for the investigation of the effect of different geometric parameters of flow-field channels on the performance of a PEM fuel cell.

Roman Oculists' Stamp

Staying healthy in Pontes, Roman Staines – an oculists' stamp. This stone stamp measures 25.5 x 14.5 x 8 mm and was used to mark collyria, sticks of soft eye medicine. Shavings from the stick would have been mixed with a liquid and applied to the eyes. The lettering on the ends are 'retrograde', or mirrored, so when stamped it can be read. This one is marked 'SENI LENE' and 'SENI NARD'. Ralph Jackson has interpreted SENI as meaning 'Senior', the name of the oculist, LENE as indicating it is a soothing medicine for treating conjunctivitis, and NARD is short for nardinum, indicating nard oil is the key ingredient. Nard oil was, kilo for kilo, more valuable than gold and was traded across the entire empire. The very best nard oil came from the foothills of the Himalayas and here it is in Roman Staines being used by an eye doctor, wow! Photography used a Canon EOS2000, a 50mm EF lens and a 12.5mm extension tube. F20 aperture was employed to achieve sufficient depth of field. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

1-1650 Aztec Roller Stamp

This is a roller stamp of Mesoamerican origin. Based on the design of the stamp in comparison to others, the stamp is likely from the 10th-15th century, suggesting a Postclassic Period, possibly Aztec, origin. Roller stamps like this can be hollowed out to put a stick through to roll out the impression. They were handmade, but later as demand increased a technique called the mold-made stamp became more popular. The use of these stamps has been debated by archaeologists. Some believe they were used to decorate people's bodies and experiments with our 3D prints show they accomplish this function better than others such as pottery decoration. Based on the designs of this stamp, it may be representative of a pattern style motif. Enrico, J. (1953). Design motifs of Ancient Mexico. New York: Dover Pub. Field, F. V. (1974).
