Muḳaddimah, on fol. 12<sup>a</sup>. Ṭabaḳah I, on fol. 18<sup>b</sup>; II, on fol. 45<sup>b</sup>; III, on fol. 76<sup>a</sup> (heading omitted); IV, on fol. 108<sup>b</sup>; V, on fol. 145<sup>b</sup>; VI, on fol. 191<sup>b </sup>(only headed طبقه , and beginning with كهبتانى (!), i.e. correctly: Ni&rsquo;mat-all&acirc;h K&ucirc;hist&acirc;n&icirc;). The last four pages (ff . 243 and 244), written by another hand, contain (<em>a</em>) the end of J&acirc;m&icirc;&rsquo;s شرح فصوص الحكم , i.e. the نقد النصوص ,a commentary on Muḥy&icirc;-ald&icirc;n Muḥammad bin &lsquo;Al&icirc; al&rsquo;Arab&icirc;&rsquo;s (died A.H. 638 = A.D. 1240, 1241) نقش الفصوص , an extract from the same Arabic author&rsquo;s larger mystical work, the فصوص الحكم (comp. Bodleian Cat., Nos. 894, 9, and 976, and W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 274), and (<em>b</em>) another small prose-tract on mystical matters, beginning : الها ملكا پادشاها قبلۀ دل مارا بتشريف ربّ اشرح لى صدرى در اشعۀ آفتاب الخ.</p> <p>No. 3206, ff. 244, ll. 15 (ll. 19 on the last four pages); excellent Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ; illuminated frontispiece; size, 8<sup>3/8</sup> in. by 4<sup>3/4</sup> in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Pertsch: <em>ibn</em> Bakht&icirc;sh&acirc;h) of Samarḳand, who completed this work A.H. 892 (A.D. 1487), and dedicated it to M&icirc;r &lsquo;Al&icirc; Sh&icirc;r. Hammer&rsquo;s &lsquo;Sch&ouml;ne Redek&uuml;nste Persiens&rsquo; are principally based on it. It is divided into a muḳaddimah, seven ṭabaḳ&acirc;t, and a kh&acirc;timah, comp.
