The nine dhikrs deal with the same mystic Shaikhs as the first nine faṣls of the original work, viz.:</p> <p>1.Bah&acirc;-alḥaḳḳ wa-alḥaḳiḳa wa-alduny&acirc; wa-ald&icirc;n Walad Balkh&icirc;, styled Sulṭan-al&rsquo;ulam&acirc;, the father of Jal&acirc;l-ald&icirc;n R&ucirc;m&icirc;, on fol. 5b, in six b&acirc;bs. His death is fixed here in A.H. 618 (clearly a mistake for A.H. 628), the 18th of Rab&icirc;&rsquo;-al&acirc;khar (see fol. 19b, ll. 8 and 9).</p> <p>2.Sayyid Burh&acirc;n-ald&icirc;n Muḥaḳḳiḳ, teacher of Jal&acirc;l-ald&icirc;n R&ucirc;m&icirc; and disciple of the preceding Shaikh ( مربّئ مولانا و مربّاى سلطان العلما ), on fol. 20b .</p> <p>3.Maul&acirc;n&acirc; Jal&acirc;l-ald&icirc;n albalkh&icirc; alr&ucirc;m&icirc;, on fol. 24a, in ten b&acirc;bs , each subdivided into two faṣls.</p> <p>4.Shaikh Shams-ald&icirc;n Tabr&icirc;z&icirc;, on fol. 169b,in eight b&acirc;bs. His death is fixed here in A.H. 643=A.D. 1245, 1246 (see fol. 185a, l. 4). The usual (and probably more correct) date is A.H. 645 (A.D. 1247, 1248).</p> <p>5.Shaikh Ṣal&acirc;ḥ-ald&icirc;n Far&icirc;d&ucirc;n Ḳ&ucirc;naw&icirc; ( قونوى , read قونيوى Ḳ&ucirc;niyaw&icirc;), on fol. 186a. He died the 1st of Muḥarram, A.H. 657 = A.D. 1258, December 29 (see fol. 190a, l. 3)</p> <p>6. Ḥaḍrat Ćalab&icirc; Ḥus&acirc;m-ald&icirc;n, on fol. 190a. He died the 22nd of Sha&rsquo;b&acirc;n, A.H. 683=A.D. 1284, November 3 (see fol. 194b, ll. 7 and 8).</p> <p>7.Sulṭan Bah&acirc;-ald&icirc;n Walad, Jal&acirc;l-ald&icirc;n R&ucirc;m&icirc;&rsquo;s son, on fol. 194b. He died the 10th of Rajab, A.H. 712 = A.D. 1312, November 11 (see fol. 200a, ll. 13 and 14).</p> <p>8.Jal&acirc;l-ald&icirc;n Far&icirc;d&ucirc;n, known as Ćalab&icirc; &lsquo;&Acirc;rif, son of the preceding Shaikh, in six faṣls, on fol. 200b. His death is fixed here on the 24th of Dh&ucirc;-alḥijjah, A.H. 729, instead of 719, as in the original work (see fol. 232a, l. 3 ab infra).</p> <p>9. Ćalab&icirc; Shams-ald&icirc;n Am&icirc;r &lsquo;&Acirc;bid, brother of the preceding Shaikh, on fol. 232b.</p> <p><em>Kh&acirc;timah</em>, on fol. 233b, giving the ta&rsquo;r&icirc;kh of the work and mun&acirc;j&acirc;t.</p> <p>The tenth b&acirc;b of the original work is altogether omitted in this revised edition.</p> <p>Beginning: نير اعظم حمدى كه صد هزاران هزار شمس فلك چهارم يكذرّه از اشعات جمال الخ .</p> <p>No date. Eleventh century of the Hijrah . A former owner was Naww&acirc;b &lsquo;Abd-alḥam&icirc;d Miy&acirc;na.</p> <p>No. 1164, ff. 235, ll.16; Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ; size, 95/8 in. by 51/4 in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
