<p>A systematic literature search in the Ovid Medline, Web of Science and SportDiscus databases was performed, limited to randomized studies of aerobic fitness and strength training, respectively. Studies with at least three "doses" of frequency, duration or intensity of training were examined in order to find out what effect could be expected from the next highest “dose”.</p>
