BIG DATA ANALYTICS IN DIGITAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: IMPACT ON THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

This study investigates how HR employees experience the big data phenomenon in the recruitment function of HRM and how their perceptions of the phenomenon have evolved. This study also examines how BD will affect organizational and HRM and how it can be improved in other functions of HR. In this exploratory study, which comprehensively addresses the BD phenomenon in HRM, the phenomenological design approach, one of the qualitative research methods, was applied to test the research questions and a semi-structured interview form was used for research data. Using the snowball sampling method, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 HR employees working in large and semi-structured organizations in Turkey and the interviews were analyzed with MAXQDA 20. The findings show that HRM employees are aware of BD. On the other hand, it is understood that BD technologies provide easy accessibility in recruitment, offer a strategic competitive advantage, and enable more effective management of information management, which saves HR employees' work in a facilitating way. They benefit from technology as a decision support assistant. Finally, the research results provide theoretical and practical implications for future researchers and practitioners for the development and effective use of BD technology in the field of HRM.

Analyzing Polyethylene Terephthalate Bottle Waste Technology Using Analytic Hierarchy Process for Developing Countries: A case Study from Indonesia

PET bottle waste is easy to recycle because it is easy to separate, abundant, and competitively priced. Technologies for the treatment of PET bottle waste have been evaluated to date using life cycle assessment (LCA), but this does not take into account all the aspects that policy makers consider necessary to select an acceptable technology. Aspects such as society, economics, policies, and technical applicability need to be considered along with environment and resources consumption to complement the LCA results for PET bottle waste. These aspects were selected as criteria for the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and stakeholders were invited to make a comparison evaluation of the criteria and sub criteria. Academics were involved to compare the technology option. The results show that society is the highest priority because it is the main actor that ensures the application of the technology, and job creation is the most important indicator for the selection of the technology. After comparing open landfill, sanitary landfill, incineration with energy recovery, pelletizing, glycolysis, and hydrolysis for utilization of PET bottle waste, this study suggests pelletizing as the acceptable technology for Indonesia because pelletizing is supported by social aspects and creates more jobs. This is the first time that a single plastic fraction that is easy to collect and recycle has been studied with AHP. The results show that this type of plastic could also be reused in developing countries through mechanical recycling.

MGEP_HienNguyen_skill-rating questionnaires for advanced service design through Analytical Hierarchy Process_2022

This presents a dataset of expert evaluation to determine what design skills for advanced services are important for the design team. The expert selection criteria were defined by the purposive sampling to recruit the appropriate experts through the chain sampling technique. Their evaluations were collected through the skill-rating questionnaires in accordance with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The resulting dataset was processed through the AHP algorithms programmed by R language. Transparency data and code availability may be (re)used by the design practitioners and/or researchers for replication and further analysis, offering the reproduceable research method by which multiple-criteria decision analysis is conducted.
