Data set for the journal article "Improving the lifetime of hybrid CoPc@MWCNT catalysts for selective electrochemical CO2-to-CO conversion"

In the article "Improving the lifetime of hybrid CoPc@MWCNT catalysts for selective electrochemical CO2-to-CO conversion" we demonstrated that Fe impurities in a hybrid CoPc@MWCNT catalyst lead to its performance deterioration during long-term CO2 electrolysis. Here we present the dataset the work was based on. The data are divided into four groups:
(i) Current transients and gas chromatography data for short-term electrolysis at different potentials (in an excel file we give the numbers of chromatograms for each potential; current transients are given as an origin file with datasets and plots inside)
(ii) Current transients and gas chromatography data for long-term electrolysis at different potentials and with different catalysts (in respective excel files we give the numbers of chromatograms; figure numbers are given in the folder names)
(iii) Electron microscopy images and EDX datasets (the images and datasets are collected in the folders with respective figure numbers used in the paper)
(iv) Calibration curves for ICP-MS

A study on article selection behavior - Survey

This survey helped to evaluate the behavior of economists in academia during the article selection process using different scholarly evaluation metrics. Within this survey, we presented both bibliometric and altmetric indicators attached to four journal articles of which the participants were encouraged to make a decision which article they want to read first. This study, however, was focused more on finding out the usefulness of altmetric information when selecting an article for reading rather than the bibliometric indicators in general.

The questionnaire is created on the LimeSurvey. It was disseminated to roughly 15,000 economists worldwide, contacted via email addresses found within the mailing list. The distribution of the survey started on November 11, 2019, and was online for three and a half weeks until November 29, 2019.

Dataset for article 'How users' knowledge of advertisements influences their viewing and selection behaviour in search engines'

This study examines how users’ understanding of search-based advertising influences search results viewing behaviour the PC and the smartphone. To investigate this, we used a mix of methods consisting of interview, eye-tracking experiment and questionnaire with n=100 subjects. We show that participants with a low level of knowledge on search advertising are more likely to click on ads than subjects with a high level of knowledge. Moreover, subjects with little knowledge show less willingness to scroll down to the organic results. Regarding the device, there are significant differences in viewing behaviour. These can be attributed to the influence of the direct visibility of search results on both devices tested. We recommend, depending on the device, that advertisers ensure their ads appear in the instantly visible area ("above the fold"). Future studies should investigate the motivations of searchers when clicking on ads.
