<p>Event-logs and Business Process Simulation Models used in the experimentation of the paper &quot;Enhancing Business Process Simulation Models with Extraneous Activity Delays&quot;, where the &#39;<em>inputs</em>&#39; folder contains all the files used as input, and the &#39;<em>output</em>&#39; folder the results of the evaluation.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>Inputs</strong></em>: event-logs, BPS models, and simulation parameters used as input in the experimentation.</p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Real-life</strong></em>:&nbsp;real-life event logs, corresponding to&nbsp;two disjoint subsets of traces from an Academic Credentials&#39; process, and the BPIC 2012 and BPIC 2017 event logs (filtered as explained in the paper), and the BPS model (plus simulation parameters) used as input for each dataset in the presented approach.</li> <li><em><strong>Synthetic</strong></em>: simulated event-logs and&nbsp;corresponding BPS models (plus simulation parameters) for four different processes with 0, 1, 3 and 5 timer events.</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Outputs</strong></em>: results of the experimentation.</p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Real-life</strong></em>: results corresponding to the evaluation with real-life event logs.&nbsp;Each of the folders is composed by the original and the&nbsp;enhanced BPS models, 10 event logs simulated with each of them, two folders with the best iteration of the two hyperparameter optimization processes, and the values for&nbsp;the injected timers in each case. Short Food Supply Chains Business and Marketing Models Categorisation

<p>The present dataset contains information about the categorisation of Business Models for Short Food Supply Chains, in the context of the <a href="http://agrobridges.eu">agroBRIDGES project</a> (Horizon 2020, GA No. 101000788). Regional information about existing and new business models for Short Food Supply Chains were collected from 12 regions and countries of focus for the project (Beacon Regions) through desk research, interviews and co-creation workshops.</p> <p>The datasets collected information provided by Beacon Region Leaders in the co-creation workshops about models applied and newly or potentially developed ones and available in the literature, to categorise them into stylized models with specific and distinguishable features and attributes, enabling a systematic approach in the development of the sustainability assessment framework.&nbsp;An initial ranking of local business models was provided at a regional / country level.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Through analysis of the aggregate ranking results of business models at local level, a final list of&nbsp;business models for SFSCs was derived. Five different Business Model types have been addressed and developed ( i. Community Supported Agriculture - CSA, ii. Face to face trade, iii. Online Food Trade, iv. Local Food Trade, and v. Data from the OPERAS business models survey on open access books

<p>OPERAS (the European Research Infrastructure for the development of open scholarly communication in the social sciences and humanities) has conducted a survey of publishing organisations throughout Europe to identify and better understand existing and potential business models to support the Open Access publication of research monographs. The results of the survey are used to inform the formulation of recommendations about how to create a sustainable open access book publishing ecosystem within Europe.</p> <p>The survey was designed to serve two core aims:&nbsp;<br> 1. To further, better or improve our understanding of the scholarly publishing landscape and of the challenges that publishers face in the context of publishing OA monographs;<br> 2. To identify main trends (including opportunities and challenges) and the knowledge of collaborative funding and infrastructure models in OA publishing in SSH.&nbsp;</p> <p>The survey was open&nbsp;between 16 February and 14 April 2021.</p> <p>The results are presented in two versions of the white paper&nbsp;of the Open Access Business Models Special Interest Group:&nbsp;&nbsp;Stone, Graham, Błaszczyńska, Marta, Lebon, Chlo&eacute;, Morka, Agata, Mosterd, Tom, Mounier, Pierre, Proudman, Vanessa, Speicher, Lara, &amp; Melin&scaron;čak Zlodi, Iva. "Canvas BM" Digital Business Model Template Repository

<p>The Digital Business Model Template Repository consists of 265 unique one-page, diverse business model compositions, constructed as variants or adaptations based on the reference Business Model Canvas (BMC) created by A. Osterwalder. Business Model Canvases are templates composed of key blocks (elements) of the business model, which are interconnected and ready to be filled with content. The process of acquiring templates through quantitative, and then qualitative research, was conducted from November 2020 to October 2022. Each identified template was verified for compliance with licensing rights. The thematic repository should be treated as a business guide, aiding in the selection of suitable tools for designing business models for specific organizations, as well as in the process of creating, analyzing, and modifying business model templates. The Digital Business Model Template Repository can be useful in both a scientific, research, didactic, and individual context, and can also be beneficial in business practice.</p>

agroBRIDGES EIP-AGRI Practice Abstracts - Regional insights and business models for SFSC development

<p>The present dataset completed the collection of the 25 regional practice abstracts developed in the framework of the agroBRIDGES project, using the EIP-AGRI common format. The aim is to share project outputs so other actors of the agri-food sector can leverage on them and to see the main added value and benefits met by the end-users if the generated knowledge is implemented. The Practice Abstracts are also published on the EIP-AGRI website and available at this <strong><a href="https://ec.europa.eu/eip/agriculture/en/find-connect/projects/building-bridges-between-consumers-and-producers">link</a>.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The current (second)&nbsp;version of the dataset builds upon the previous set of Practice Abstracts generated in each of&nbsp;the 12 European focal countries of the project to share the project&#39;s knowledge and insights gained from co-creation, data collection, communication, toolbox validation and event organisation activities.</p> <p>These activities&nbsp;aim at promoting the development of Short Food Supply Chains, while motivating the local network of agri-food actors in the process (multi-actor approach). At least one Practice&nbsp;Abstract has been generated per Beacon Region (i.e. focal region of the agroBRIDGES project). Model Collection of the Business Process Management Academic Initiative

<p>This model collection contains 29,810 models. The collection originates from the BPM Academic Initiative (BPMAI). In 2012, the initial members of this initiative were the following institutions represented by the corresponding professors: Mathias Weske (HPI,&nbsp; University of Potsdam), Marlon Dumas (University of Tartu), Marcello La Rosa (University of Melbourne), Jan Mendling (WU Vienna), Hajo A. Reijers (Utrecht University), Michael Rosemann (Queensland University of Technology, Australia), Jan Recker (University of Cologne, Germany), Wil van der Aalst (RWTH Aachen, Germany), Michael zur M&uuml;hlen (Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ) and Frank Leymann (University of Stuttgart), respectively, complemented by Dr. Gero Decker (Signavio GmbH, Berlin). The vendor Signavio provides a <a href="http://www.signavio.com/en/academic.html">free workspace</a> to the members of the BPM Academic Initiative and the models being created are made available for reseach purposes on the Creative Commons licence.</p> <p>The BPM Academic Initiative collection comprises tens of thousands of models, of various process modeling languages, and size. Models of the collection are available in several revisions, which opens a new perspective in researching the way people model.<br> The BPMAI collection is shared in a JSON format. Tools have been developed at HPI, University of Potsdam for efficiently processing these files. See the <a href="https://github.com/tobiashoppe/promnicat">PromniCat project</a>. Note that this project is no longer further developed, so you have to work with the information available there. Various analysis techniques can be applied for these models using the <a href="https://code.google.com/archive/p/jbpt/">jBPT library</a> or <a href="https://code.google.com/archive/p/apromore/">Apromore</a>.</p>

Business Models in Energy Communities: an analysis through legal lenses

<p>This research explores energy communities (EC) and their&nbsp; business models&rsquo; attributes. We develop a conceptual framework,&nbsp; which combines and extends the social, economic, environmental,&nbsp; and technological dimensions of value generation to include the legal&nbsp; dimension. The latter has been considered only implicitly in previous&nbsp; studies on this sector. Applying this framework to forty business cases&nbsp; of energy communities allows to identify six business model (BM) archetypes representative of ECs. This study can encourage and&nbsp; support new ventures in this sector to model their strategy and comply&nbsp; with the requirements.</p>

The adoption of Article Processing Charges as a business model by Brazilian Open Access journals. <em>Transinforma&ccedil;&atilde;o</em>, 31:e180045, 2019. <a href="https://doi.org/10.1590/2318-0889201931e180045">https://doi.org/10.1590/2318-0889201931e180045</a></p> <p>Different funding and business model alternatives for Open Access to scientific publication have been discussed and tried, either by Gold open access journals or by the &lsquo;hybrid&rsquo; ones. A growing number of both types of scholarly journals have adopted a publication fee &ndash; more specifically an Article Processing Charge &ndash; as their open access business model, a procedure that has been the subject of controversies. The objective of this study is to characterize Brazilian open access journals that adopt article processing charges. The main contribution of this study is to audit and support decision making of editorial policies and business models for open access that are being proposed by and for Brazilian journals. We defined a sample of Brazilian open access journals using article processing charges extracted from the Directory of Open Access Journals database in April 2018 along with their classification in the Scimago Journal Ranking, Journal Citation Reports and Qualis Capes system, considered as an indicator of prestige of academic journals. The study reveals that a small number of Brazilian open access journals are currently applying article processing charges, with practices varying mainly according to fields of study, types of organization and classification according to the Qualis system.</p>

Business process models for a ride fulfilment process in a ride-hailing company enabled by an autonomous driving system

<p>The repository contains the business process models of a&nbsp;ride fulfilment process in a ride-hailing company enabled by an autonomous driving system. The models are depicted using BPMN.2.0 language and are extended with annotations for usage in the <a href="https://dpotool.cs.ut.ee/">DPO tool</a>.&nbsp;The models, which contain &quot;Pleak&quot; as a part of the title, are created using PE-BPMN language and some of them are annotated for usage in the <a href="https://pleak.io/">Pleak</a>&nbsp;tool set.&nbsp;</p> <p>The repository also contains two .csv files which contain the results of the simple disclosure analysis (&quot;<em>6_RideFulfillment_PK_SecSharing_combined-Simple-Disclosure-results.csv</em>&quot;) and the results of the leak-when analysis (&quot;<em>7_Pleak_RideFulfillment_PK_SecrSharing_BPMN_Leak_When-results.csv</em>&quot;) in the&nbsp;ride fulfilment process.
