PROSEU Renewable Energy Country Fact Sheets
<p>As part of work package nº2 of the H2020 PROSEU project, which aimed to establish a baseline review and characterisation of renewable energy sources (RES) prosumer (self-consumption) initiatives across Europe, data were collected for nine EU member states as well as the EU as a whole in order to sketch and compare the Renewable Energy settings that these initiatives are developing in. These data were organised according to 20 indicators and summarised in “country fact sheets”.</p>

Fact Sheet: Introduction Virtual Research Environments and Overview
<p><strong>English:</strong></p> <p>Virtual Research Environments (VREs) are digital working platforms which enable scienctists to work cooperatively in a time- and location-independent way. Due to the increase of digital research data and the international collaboration of researchers, VREs gain in importance. Numerous VREs have been developed in different projects to support the work of researchers in a variety of disciplines. However, the thematic focus and functionality differ between available VREs.</p> <p>The new fact sheet summarizes important information about and requirements for VREs. In addition to the fact sheet we developed a summary of currently existing VREs for different disciplines which gives an overview over their scope and functionality.</p> <p>-------------------------------------------</p> <p><strong>German:</strong></p> <p>Virtuelle Forschungsumgebungen (VFUs) sind digitale Arbeitsplattformen, die es Wissenschaftlern ermöglichen zeit- und ortsunabhängig vernetzt zusammenzuarbeiten. Durch die Zunahme an digitalen Forschungsdaten und die stärkere internationale Zusammenarbeit von Wissenschaftlern gewinnen diese Anwendungen an Bedeutung. In den letzten Jahren wurden in zahlreichen Projekten neue VFUs für verschiedene Fachdisziplinen entwickelt. Dabei sind der thematische Schwerpunkt und der Funktionsumfang der verschiedenen VFUs sehr unterschiedlich.</p> <p>Mit der neuen Handreichung möchten wir allen Interessierten wichtige Informationen rund um das Thema VFU zur Verfügung stellen und einen Überblick über momentan verfügbare Systeme geben. Cancer surveillance data (of all types of cancer) from these two programs are combined and are referred to as the United States Cancer Statistics (USCS), the official source for federal cancer data. There are 52 population-based central cancer registries that contribute to this data collection effort. They include cancer registries known as central cancer registries from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The facts provided below are based on the most up-to-date information available and includes almost 100% of the US population.

Primary Brain and Other Central Nervous System Tumors (CNS) Diagnosed in the United States in 2016-2020: For the first time in an annual statistical report, we present up-to-date prevalence estimates for all malignant and non-malignant brain and other CNS tumors for the United States based on all 52 central cancer registries (50 states, District of Columbia, and limited statistics from Puerto Rico). Time trends in malignant and non-malignant brain and other CNS tumors are presented by select demographic groups. We also present selected statistics for 2020, the first year of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The objective of the CBTRUS Statistical Report: Primary Brain and Other Central Nervous System Tumors Diagnosed in the United States in 2017-2021 is to provide a comprehensive summary of the current descriptive epidemiology of all primary brain and other central nervous system (CNS) tumors in the US population. Primary brain and other CNS tumors include those tumors that originate from the tissues of the brain or other CNS sites. The Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States (CBTRUS) obtained the latest available population-based data on all newly diagnosed primary brain and other CNS tumors reported from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR), and the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program for diagnosis years 2017-2021.

The CBTRUS Statistical Report: Primary Brain and Other Central Nervous System Tumors Diagnosed in the United States in 2018-2022 contains the most up-to-date population-based data on all primary brain tumors available through the US surveillance system and supersedes all previous reports in terms of completeness and accuracy. All rates are age-adjusted using the 2000 US standard population and presented per 100,000 population. Accordingly, this report represents a current, comprehensive source for the descriptive epidemiology of primary central nervous system tumors.
