Time Series data from wearable sensors to capture the onset of Fatigue in Runners

<p>The data captured came from mounting a single Shimmer3&nbsp;IMU on the lumbar of 19 recreational runners. The participants were all regular runners and injury free. The study protocol was reviewed and approved by the human research ethics committee at University College Dublin.<br><br>The data was collected in three segments; in the first, the participant completed a 400m run at a comfortable pace; the second segment consisted of a beep test which acted as the fatiguing protocol for this study; and the last segment where the runner was required to complete the 400m run at their comfortable pace, this time in their fatigued state. The beep test requires the runner to continuously run between two points 20m apart following an audio which produces `beeps' indicating when the person should begin running from one end to the other. The test eventually requires the runner to increase their pace as the interval between the `beeps' reduces as the test progresses. The fatiguing protocol ends when the runner is unable to keep up the increase in pace. The runs were all done on an outdoor running track. The sensor captured acceleration, angular velocity and magnetometer data throughout the three stages of the trials at a sampling rate of 256Hz. The data included here consists of the raw readings from the sensors across the three phases of the run. Quantifying the basic reproduction number and the under-estimated fraction of mpox cases around the world at the onset of the outbreak: a mathematical modeling and machine learning- based study

<p><span>In 2022, there was a global resurgence of mpox, with different clinico-epidemiological features compared with previous</span><br><span>outbreaks. During this resurgence, sexual contact was hypothesized as the primary transmission route, with the community</span><br><span>of men having sex with men (MSM) being disproportionately affected. Because of the stigma associated with sexually</span><br><span>transmitted infections, especially those impacting MSM, the real burden of mpox could be masked.</span><br><span>We quantified the basic reproduction number (R</span><span>0</span><span>) and the under-estimated fraction of mpox cases in 16 countries, from the</span><br><span>onset of the outbreak until early September 2022, using Bayesian inference and a compartmentalized, risk-structured (high-</span><br><span>and low-risk populations), two-route (sexual and non-sexual transmission) mathematical model. Machine learning (ML) was</span><br><span>leveraged to identify under-estimation determinants.</span><br><span>Estimated R</span><span>0</span><span> </span><span>ranged between 1&middot;37 (Canada) and 3&middot;68 (Germany). The under-estimation rates for the high- and low-risk</span><br><span>populations varied between 25-93% and 65-85%, respectively. The estimated total number of mpox cases, relative to the</span><br><span>reported cases, is highest in Colombia (3&middot;60) and lowest in Canada (1&middot;08). In the ML analysis, two clusters of countries could</span><br><span>be identified, differing in terms of attitudes towards the 2SLGBTQIAP+ community and importance of religion.</span><br><span>Given the substantial mpox under-estimation, surveillance should be enhanced and campaigns against the stigmatization of</span><br><span>MSM should be organized. Countries have different social characteristics, potentially explaining the various degrees of under-</span><br><span>reporting in mpox cases, which should be considered by studies assessing the effectiveness of community-based</span><br><span>interventions.</span></p>

Adult patients admitted to the emergency department for suspicion of a community-onset&nbsp;sepsis were evaluated. The study was approved by the Regional Ethical Review Board of Gothenburg (376-11). The file includes data for patient characteristics, vital signs, biomarker measurements, cases of bacteremia, and patient classifications&nbsp;using Sepsis-2 and Sepsis-3 criteria.</p>

Processed proteomic and phosphoproteomic timeseries from Ostreococcus tauri, with Gene Ontology enrichment, from "A phospho-dawn of protein modification anticipates light onset in the picoeukaryote O. tauri"

<p>Diel regulation of protein levels and protein modification had been less studied than transcript rhythms. These data tables in .XLSX format report partial proteome (Table_S1)&nbsp;and phosphoproteome data (Table_S2), assayed using shotgun mass-spectrometry, from cultures of the alga <em>Ostreococcus tauri&nbsp;</em>under light-dark cycles, sampled at Zeitgeber times (ZT, hours) 0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20.&nbsp;10% of quantified proteins but two-thirds of phosphoproteins were rhythmic. Gene Ontology enrichment analysis was applied to infer the functional enrichment of the proteins or phosphoproteins, grouped by their loadings in PCA analysis (Table_S3), by hierarchical clustering (Table_S4) or&nbsp;by the peak time of their rhythmic profile (Table_S5).Prompted by night-peaking and apparently dark-stable proteins, we also tested the proteome of cultures transferred to prolonged darkness for 24, 48, 72 or 96h (Table_S6), where the proteome changed less than under the diel cycle. The raw data are available from ProteomeXchange, with identifiers PXD001734, PXD001735 and PXD002909.</p>

<p>This record contains datasets analysed as part of the study &quot;Trends in medication use after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Ireland: an interrupted time series study&quot;.</p> <p>Two datasets were used, one relating to therapeutic subgroups defined by ATC codes (atc_wide_freq_avg.csv) and one relating to individual medications (drugs_wide_freq_avg.csv). Supplementary AIA Movies for the Solar Flares described in "Investigating the Soft X-ray Spectra of Solar Flare Onsets"

<p>This repository contains flare movies of six solar flares described in the paper "Investigating the Soft X-ray Spectra of Solar Flare Onsets".</p> <p>For each flare both the standard AIA 193 Angstrom Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) Atmospheric Imager (AIA) Assembly Extreme Ultra-Violet (EUV) image animations, as well as the running difference animations are included. The format of the file names for the AIA 193 Angstrom images is &lsquo;DOY_NNN_Col.mp4&rsquo;, where NNN is denotes the Day of Year (for e.g., DOY_065_Col.mp4) and the suffix &lsquo;Col&rsquo; denotes &lsquo;Colored&rsquo;. Similarly the format of the file names for the difference images is &lsquo;DOY_NNN_Diff.mp4&rsquo; where the suffix &lsquo;Diff&rsquo; denotes &lsquo;Difference Image&rsquo;. Modified 2010-2018 ice slabs thickness retrievals from Jullien et al., (2023) where ice slabs thickness &gt; 16 m thick and &lt; 1 m thick are retained, and flight-lines not holding ice slab were set to hold an ice content of 0 m thick.</li> <li>'master_maps.zip'.
