Primary data on the Condition of the Stray dogs in Sherpur sadar Upazilla, Bangladesh
<p>This dataset contains primary data collected from Sherpur Sadar Upazilla, Bangladesh, focusing on the welfare and health conditions of stray dogs. The data was gathered through field observations, surveys, and interviews with local residents and animal welfare organizations. It includes detailed information on the physical condition, health indicators (such as signs of malnutrition, injury, and disease), behaviors, and environmental conditions of stray dogs in the region. Genetic monitoring of steelhead in the Klickitat River to estimate productivity, straying, and migration timing
<div> <p>Salmonids with complex life history variation present challenges for conservation management, but genetic approaches alongside fisheries monitoring can address questions regarding viability of natural populations. We genotyped adult (n=3,108) and juvenile (n=2,624) samples of anadromous <em>Oncorhynchus</em> <em>mykiss</em> that were collected in the Klickitat River, WA, USA at traps in the lower drainage to examine tributary level productivity, straying from outside sources and variation in adult migration timing. Genetic assignment of steelhead from this system indicated that the majority were produced within or near tributaries of the middle Klickitat River (juvenile mean = 72.8%; adult mean = 87.3%). Analyses with parentage-based tagging identified that most hatchery-origin adults were assigned to the Skamania Hatchery (80.8%) as expected since this has been the release stock for decades within the Klickitat River drainage. Hatchery-origin adults were also identified from programs operating outside the Klickitat River, which were primarily strays from Snake River hatcheries. Most natural-origin steelhead were assigned to the Klickitat River, but there were also natural-origin fish identified as strays from other regions of the Columbia River (22.3% of natural returns). We also examined genes known to be associated with migration timing in adult steelhead observed at the trap and observed a strong relationship between migration date and alleles for early and late migration, but individual outliers were detected across seasons. Our results indicate that genetic variation of steelhead in the Klickitat River has been influenced by hatchery programs as well as natural-origin straying from other sub-basins, but genetic diversity remains high throughout the sub-basin, and both early and late migration alleles are maintained. The genetic diversity present in Klickitat River steelhead may enable this Endangered Species Act listed (threatened) species to better adapt to stochastic environmental conditions compared to less diverse populations. </p> </div>

<p><span>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe <em>Two Stay Two Stray</em> mempengaruhi pemahaman konsep Fisika dalam pembelajaran IPA. </span><span>Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik<span> kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Halmahera semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024 terdiri dari 61 peserta didik dalam tiga kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 20 peserta dari kelas VIII B dan 20 peserta dari kelas VIII C yang dipilih menggunakan teknik <em>purposive sampling</em>. Penelitian ini menggunakan <em>posttest only control group design</em>. Data penelitian ini didapatkan melalui penerapan tes pemahaman konsep fisika dalam pelajaran IPA. Pengujian data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep Fisika dari peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran kooperatif tipe <em>Two Stay Two Stray</em> lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. Dari hasil dan pembahasan tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe <em>Two Stay Two Stray</em> berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep Fisika dalam pelajaran IPA</span></span></p>

Laser frequency stabilization and stray light issues for LISA and other future multi-spacecraft missions Project
"The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) is a joint NASA/ESA project which will use laser interferometry between drag-free proof masses to measure gravitational waves from many galactic and cosmological sources. The same interferometer technology is also the key to future multi-spacecraft missions such as multi-aperture telescope missions. These missions could include several spacecraft all separated by potentially 10s of km, flying in a fixed formation with sub-wavelength variations in their distances. These multi-aperture or distributed aperture telescopes will revolutionize the angular resolution in the infrared, optical, and even X-ray band. This proposal addresses two components which are both critical to these missions. The first component introduces a new technique to stabilize the laser frequency to an optical reference cavity. Laser frequency noise will be the limiting factor for most of the distributed aperture telescope missions; in contrast, LISA can trade frequency noise against ranging precision. This new technique is based on heterodyne interferometry which is also used to measure changes in the distances between the spacecraft. Because of this similarity, this technology can easily be integrated into the payload. It requires the same photo detectors and digital signal processing systems that are used for the interferometry. It utilizes to a large degree existing components, reducing R&D time and cost for all interferometric space missions. We have already started initial proof of principle experiments and have reached already a performance remarkably close to the performance of the standard and long time-favored modulation/demodulation technique. Now we propose to study this technique in more detail, study the limiting noise sources experimentally and theoretically, and push it to the limitations of the reference cavity itself. The expected final fractional frequency noise should be better than 0.01ppt for measurement times of a 1000s. This
