Synthetic business population containing simulated business variables

This dataset contain simulated data for a fully synthetic business population. The dataset contains 900,000 records, each of which represents a simulated business. It resembles the real-world population of employing businesses in Australia in terms of the distribution of businesses across size categories, industry classes and geographic regions (state). The data for the population has been generated using a combination of published survey outputs available from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) website, and employee tax data and survey data sourced from the Business Longitudinal Analysis Data Environment (BLADE) in the ABS DataLab.

Activity based synthetic population of residents for Gothenburg, Sweden

A synthetic population is a distribution of synthetic agents that replicates the demographic distribution of a real-world population according to census records.
This dataset contains a synthetic population of residents in the city of Gothenburg in Sweden, along with activity schedules and mobility patterns for 2019. The synthetic population model is designed for applications in neighbourhood planning and includes detailed replicas of people in different neighbourhoods of Gothenburg organized as persons, households, houses, buildings, and daily activity chains. While the persons, households, and houses are synthetic replicas, they are connected to existing buildings.
The model considers the allocation of primary and secondary locations based on a gravity model, realistic routing for active, public and private motorised modes of transportation and allows users to introduce new buildings and amenities if needed. The population data is provided as an SQLite3 database file for each neighbourhood of Gothenburg.

Synthetic populations and trajectories for sdB stars ejected from the single degenerate helium donor channel for thermonuclear supernovae

This repository is a supplement to a journal paper (Neunteufel+ 2022) and contains the synthetic populations of sdB stars and sdB remnants ejected from the single degenerate helium donor channel for thermonuclear supernovae. See Neunteufel+ 2021 and Neunteufel+ 2022 for simulation parameters.

Synthetic populations, including initial and final positions, are contained in the MXX-out.tr (XX=10..15) files where XX is the mass of the WD companion divided by 0.1 solar masses. Each population is a snapshot of stars ejected at the end of a 300 Myr period. (Note that stellar lifetimes are not taken into account here. See Neunteufel+ 2022 on how stellar lifetimes should be truncated in order to produce realistic populations.)

Columns:

Zeroth column (ID) is the ID of the trajectory. These are assigned consecutively.

First column (unnamed) indicates initial (0) and final (1) positions.

Third column (time) is the time since ejection in Myrs. Note that stars further down in the list were ejected earlier.

Fourth to Ninth columns (vx, y, vy etc..) are velocity (km/s) and position (kpc) in Gal. Carthesian coordinates (velocity first, position second)

Tenth to Twelfth column are accelerations in Gal. carthesian coordinates

Thirteenth column (v_space) is the total galactocentric space velocity (km/s)

Fourteenth column (Phi) is the local Gal. potential according to Model 1 presented by Irrgang+2013

Fifteenth column (E_kin/E_pot) is the local kinetic energy of the object divided by its potential energy with respect to the Gal. potential.

Sixteenth column (rho) is the local Gal. baryon density according to Model 1 presented by Irrgang+2013

Seventeenth column (label_c) is the mass of the ejected sdB star or sdB remnant in solar masses.

Synthetic population for Canada at the DA level for 2016, 2021, 2023 and 2030.

Synthetic populations of individuals and households at a fine geographical level (DA) for Canada for the years 2021, 2023 and 2030, according to various population growth scenarios. The synthetic populations are based on 2016 census data and population projections for 9 population growth scenarios. Each synthetic population is composed of individuals with detailed socio-demographic attributes, including age, sex, income, education, employment status and geographic locations, related into households.

Synthetic J-H-K-W1-W2-W3-G-B-V photometry for random population of binary & single stars

Table of synthetic photometry for ~800k stars, randomly distributed in the following ranges:

mass_A = (0.2, 2.0)

log10(age) = (8.0, 9.9)

feh = N(0, 0.2)

distance = (50, 2000) [pc]

A_V = (0, 1)

q (mass ratio) = (0.2, 1); mass_B = q * mass_A

The table has columns for all the synthetic photometry as well as columns for the true properties and a boolean column for "is_binary"; the synthetic photometry is only a sum of the two stars if is_binary is True; otherwise the photometry is just for the primary star. Synthetic photometry is done using the MIST model grids, implemented by isochrones (github.com/timothydmorton/isochrones)

The purpose of this table is to act a synthetic training set for single/binary classification algorithms.

ScienceDex guides
Understand access before you commit
These curated guides explain access requirements, typical timelines, costs, and reuse considerations for widely used research datasets.
Allen Brain Atlas
Allen Brain Atlas is an Allen Institute collection of brain map atlases, datasets, APIs, and analysis tools covering mouse, human, and non-human primate brain resources.
Annotated Behaviour and Observability Dataset (ABODe)
ABODe is a University of Edinburgh DataShare dataset for behavior classification in group-housed mice using home-cage video, identities, bounding boxes, ground-plate positions, and annotator labels.
DANDI Archive for NWB datasets
DANDI is a BRAIN Initiative archive for publishing and sharing neurophysiology data, including electrophysiology, optophysiology, and behavioral data packaged as NWB and related standards.
International Brain Laboratory public data
The International Brain Laboratory public data releases expose standardized mouse decision-making experiments, including Neuropixels recordings, widefield calcium imaging, behavior, and session metadata accessed through the ONE API.
OpenNeuro
OpenNeuro is a free, open platform for sharing neuroimaging datasets, with public search, dataset pages, and download paths for web, S3, DataLad, and the OpenNeuro CLI.
