Can I change the filenames after filming?

Yes. Film with your camera’s default naming, then batch-rename files to match the generated convention. The label sheet helps you map clip numbers to the correct filenames. Many file managers support batch rename.

How many clips should I plan per session?

For a standard lameness evaluation: 8–16 clips (2 gaits $\times$ 4 angles $\times$ 1–2 surfaces). For a pre-purchase exam: 16–24 clips (with flexion tests). For training or behavior: 5–10 clips. Plan more than you need — you can always skip unused labels.

Does ConductVision accept these filenames?

How It Works

Set the number of clips you plan to film and choose which fields to include in the filename: gait, angle, and/or surface. The tool generates a standardized filename for each clip with blank fields for you to fill in during filming, plus a printable label sheet with one card per clip. Download the label sheet as a PDF, print it, and check off clips as you go. When you’re done, rename your video files to match the generated filenames and upload to ConductVision.
