Localities are given as black circles. Overall, the deserts are relatively well-protected, though the Chihuahuan Desert less so. The areas where A. (Micranthophora) will be most affected appear to be coastal and central California, at higher latitudes in general, and Central Mexico into Central America (exclusively inhabited by A. squammulosa).
