<p>An experimental study performed on king scallops (Pecten maximus, L.) provided a comprehensive set of valvometry data. Gape distance was inferred from variations of the Hall-voltage, measured by an HES connected to a strain recorder. The protocole, data calcibration and data series for 12 different individuals are provided in the dataset.' </p>
