Three lines in a page.</p> <p>Another <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kufic">K&ucirc;fic </a>fragment, containing (foll. 1-34) <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surah">S&ucirc;rah</a> <strong><a href="https://quran.com/2">2</a></strong>, 254-282, and (foll. 35-51) S&ucirc;. <strong><a href="https://quran.com/3">3</a></strong>, 14-32.</p> <p>Large characters, rather cursive; the لا flourished in a peculiar way. A few red dots for vowels. Verses marked in the same way as in the preceding MS [=<a href="http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3931737">Catalogue no. 1</a>], bordered with paper, highly ornamented and gilt. The last leaf-on the back of which are also K&ucirc;fic characters, but nearly effected-bears on the <em>recto</em>, within ornaments, the words:</p> <p>کتب حسن بن علی (sic).</p> <p>On some pages the letters have vanished; the margin is slightly injured. Bound in gilt leather.</p>
