OB01053 Ind. Ch. 59 Grant of Mṛgeśavarman, Year 8 inscribed with IN01053

<p><a href="https://siddham.network/object/ob01053/">OB01053</a>&nbsp;(parts a, b, c [plates], d [seal], e [ring]) Ind. Ch. 59 Grant of Mṛgeśavarman, Year 8. Three copper plates ( 20 x 7 cm.) held together by a large, thin copper ring with an oval seal (2&middot;5 X4 cm.) inscribed with the name <em>Śrī Mṛgeśvaraḥ</em>. The inscription (IN01053) records how, in the eighth year of his reign, the Kadamba king Mṛgeśavarman had a Jain temple built at Palāśikā. The king then endowed the temple with a gift of land.</p>
