The agelenid Agelena labyrinthica Walckenaer, 1805 was used as an outgroup of Cybaeodinae Simon, 1893 and Hahniidae Bertkau, 1878. Fourteen species of Hahniidae and three of Cybaeidae Banks, 1892 were used. Note the diphily of Hahnia C.L. Koch, 1841 and the position of Hexamatia gen. nov. as a sister group to Hahnia 1.
