Rotation-Dilation Coupled Flexure Oscillator with positive dilation

<p>Mock-up of a RDCO flexure oscillator showing a positive dilation coupled to the rotation of the system. The mock-up was fabricated by laser cutting a 5 mm thick Polyoxymethylene (POM) sheet. It has an outer diameter of 200 mm and an angular stroke of ±25 degrees.</p> <p>This is a video supplement to the article "Design of a Flexure Rotational Time Base with Varying Inertia" published in the "Journal of Mechanical Design".</p>
