Nineteen lines in a page.</p> <p>Glosses on <em>Taft&acirc;z&acirc;n&icirc;&rsquo;s</em> Commentary, by NIẒ&Acirc;M AL-D&Icirc;N B. &lsquo;AL&Icirc; BADAKHSH&Icirc; (نظام الدین ابن شیخ علی القاضی البدخشی). They are compiled from various earlier works, such as the glosses of Khay&acirc;l&icirc;, Aḥmad Jand&icirc;, &lsquo;Iṣ&acirc;m al-d&icirc;n (d. A.H. 943), and extend in this MS. over about one-third of the original work.</p> <p>The preface begins: الحمدلله علی اکبر آلائه العلیة.</p> <p>It contains a dedication, beginning (fol. 2):</p> <p>فاقول یا نور نوّر المشارق و المغارب بانوار عدالة الخاقان الاکبر الاعظم و القاان الاعدل<sup>1</sup> الاحکم الذی خصصته بلوازم معرفة کمال قدرتک.</p> <p>The first gloss refers to the words: لما کان مبنی الکلام (!), from the end of Taft&acirc;z&acirc;n&icirc;&rsquo;s preface.</p> <p>Well written, the greater part (from fol. 84) in Nasta&rsquo;liḳ. The first few foll. Contain many emendations.</p> <p>B&icirc;j. Libr., A.H. 1023, from Shaikh &lsquo;Alam Allah (b. &lsquo;Abd al-razz&acirc;ḳ Makk&icirc; Ḥanaf&icirc; al-&lsquo;Aidar&ucirc;s). Inscribed: حاشیۀ مولانا غازیخان بر حاشیۀ خیالی بر شرح عقاید نسفی.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><sup>1</sup> This MS. has والقان الاعدال.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
