Lemanaghan Ringed Cross-Slab (OF015-004018-)

Early Christian ringed cross-slab now attached to the internal face of the eastern gable of the Romanesque Church ruins (OF015-004003-) at Lemanaghan Monastery, County Offaly. A free-standing ringed-cross with sunken quadrants contained within a circular-shaped frame has been incised into a small sandstone slab. A monastery at Lemanaghan (Liath Manchán) was founded in the 7th century by Manchán whose feastday is celebrated on the 24th of January.
