Pre-Islamic Mleiha Farmhouse & Kitchen, Sharjah
Mleiha Farmhouse with Kitchen. This is located at the Mleiha Archaeological Area in Mleiha, Sharjah. It is a Pre-Islamic farmhouse similar to others in the Mleiha area. It dates to 200 BCE-100 CE. The rooms had many mini ovens, furnaces and grinding stones for grinding cereals and making bread. Of note, there is a large, industrial kitchen nearby, under the tent, that was scanned by GDH in 2019 using Faro S70 scanners. This underground bakery/kitchen has steps leading down into an open chamber containing two large underground ovens/furnaces The model of the industrial kitchen is also in this collection on Sketchfab. 1496 photos with a Phantom P4 Pro V2, Processed in Reality Capture.
