Internal bruising in potatoes by biospeckle laser technique

This research aimed at evaluating the applicability of the biospeckle laser technique in order to detect and predict the internal bruising in potatoes caused by mechanical impacts during the early stages where there is no visual perception of the injury.

Published in https://academicjournals.org/journal/AJAR/article-abstract/6C3128356571

Type of data: 130 images, 640x486 pixels, BMP, gray scale, of speckle images in a time rate of 12 frames per second

The potatoes were submitted to mechanical impact and monitored regarding the biospeckle laser technique before and after the mechanical impact.

Treatments:

Before impact

0h (Just after the impact)

2h (after the impact)

4h (after the impact)

6h (after the impact)

24h (after the impact)

48h (after the impact)

72h (after the impact)

Each treatment has in a folder:

5 replications and Control with 130 raw images of speckle

Generalized Difference graphical outcome with the map of activity

New version================

Additional 15 replications of of: Before impact, 0h, 2h, (...), 72h

The zip files of the additonal 15 replications are identified as *additnal_data.zip

Observation: There isn't control data in the additional replications. One can use the data of "Before impact" as Control as well in all cases.

=========================

Summary: 20 replications in total using the same methodology and carried out at the same period.

Funders: CNPq, CAPES and FAPEMIG
