Fig. 3. Flavonoids with and without 6-hydroxyl groups have different effects on root length. The effects of scutellarin, scutellarein, rutin and naringenin on A. thaliana root length were examined. Seeds were germinated and mock-treated or grown in 50 μM scutellarin, 50 μM scutellarein, 50 μM rutin or 50 μM naringenin for 7 days.
