Small Earthenware Pot: EOA:2022.111.18

Small earthenware pot from the wreck of the Earl Of Abergavenny. ID: EOA:2022.111.18 Collection: Earl of Abergavenny Classification: Trade Measurements: Diametre 66mm Height 110mm Date made: as yet unknown Display: not on display Manufacturer/Creator: as yet unknown Credit: Portland Museum Trust Unlike the majority of other pots recovered this little artifact comes with the remains of Keel worm tubes on it. Keel worms tubes can be found on objects that have been sitting on the seabed suggesting this pot was at least partly visible for some time and it looks as if there were two different species that called this pot home.
