Size 8 in. by 4<sup>1/4</sup> in.; foll. 91. Fifteen lines in a page.</p> <p>Glosses on المختصر , by MAUL&Acirc;N&Acirc;Z&Acirc;DAH (KHUTT&Acirc;׳&Icirc;, who flourished in the ninth century). These glosses are also to be found in Catal. <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6827074">St. Petersb</a>. p. 191, no. ccx. They were printed at Calcutta, A.H. 1256 (149 pp.).</p> <p>The surname of the author is given here according to the Calcutta edition.<sup>1</sup> It is elsewhere spelled الخطائى<em>.</em></p> <p>He is probably identical with the Niẓ&acirc;m al-d&icirc;n &lsquo;Othm&acirc;n Khaṭ&acirc;׳&icirc; (d. A.H. 901, <em>sic</em>), or Maul&acirc;n&acirc;z&acirc;dah 'Othm&acirc;n Khaṭ&acirc;׳&icirc;, mentioned in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kashf_al-Zunun">Ḥ. Kh.</a> ii. 407 sq., 447. The glosses mentioned <em>ib</em>. p. 408 seem to be different from these.</p> <p>Begins: نحمدك اللهم على ما اعطيتنا من سوابغ النعم .</p> <p>Legibly written in Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ and Shikastah, occasionally across the pages. Marginal notes. The text of the <em>Mukhtaṣar </em>is partly added on the upper margin.</p> <p>This copy was made by &lsquo;Abd al-razz&acirc;ḳ Ḥusain&icirc;.., at الجالس . Date, A.H. 1092.</p> <p>The earlier portion of this MS. has been misplaced in binding.
