Dependencies in DevOps Survey 2021

<p>While various empirical studies on the application of DevOps in practice exist, the state of application dependencies and their impact on the order of deployments has not been assessed yet. Such insight would indicate whether independent, cross-functional DevOps teams may deploy their applications independently or whether they need to coordinate. Further, in case coordination is required, we do not yet have insight into how such coordination is accomplished.</p> <p>To fill this gap, we perform a cross-sectional, self-administered, online questionnaire survey with IT professionals. This report documents the survey until April 15, 2021, including the analysis of the collected data.
