(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 645 here with notations and hyperlinks]</strong>.</li> </ul> <p>650</p> <p>F&acirc;tiḥ-alḳul&ucirc;b ( فاتح القلوب ) .</p> <p>History of the life and wonderful deeds of the great Shaikh M&icirc;r &lsquo;Abdall&acirc;h ibn M&icirc;r Mużaffar alḥusain&icirc; altirmidh&icirc; (who died A.H. 1035= A.D. 1626, according to the two chronograms on fol. 19<sup>a</sup>: زدنياى دنى قطب زمان رفت and روضۀ جاويد , a date also given in Beale&rsquo;s Oriental Biogr. Dictionary, p. 6<sup>b</sup>, whereas, according to another chronogram on the same page, viz. شيخ زمانه بود , and the statement on fol. 18<sup>b</sup>, line 7, see also Rieu i. p. 154<sup>a</sup>, his death took place ten years sooner, in A.H. 1025 = A.D. 1616), by one of his disciple, divided into twelve b&acirc;bs, and beginning: الحمد لله ..... بعد از بيان توحيد و ثناى بارى عزّ اسمه و نعت سيّد المرسلين و خاتم النبييّن امير المؤمنين و امامان دين عليهم السّلام و مدح اصحاب مستطاب الخ.</p> <p>M&icirc;r &lsquo;Abdall&acirc;h Tirmidh&icirc;, with the takhalluṣ Waṣf&icirc; , was a clever calligrapher , who got from the emperor Akbar the honorary epithet of Mushk&icirc;n Ḳalam, and a good poet too, see Rieu, loc. cit., and Bodleian Catal., No. 1894.</p> <p>The last year that appears in this little work , mentioned as date of the death of one of the Shaikh&rsquo;s great pupils, is A.H. 1054 (A.D. 1644, 1645), on fol. 31<sup>a</sup>, l . 15.</p> <p>This copy was finished the 23rd of Dh&ucirc;-alḳa&rsquo;dah, in the 20th year (either of Sh&acirc;hjah&acirc;n, which would be A.H. 1056= A.D. 1646, December 31, or more likely of &lsquo;&Acirc;lamgir, A.H. 1087 = A.D. 1677, January 27). On fol.1<sup>b</sup> the work is simply styled: تأريخ مير عبدالله .</p> <p>No. 645, ff. 32, ll. 17; Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ; worm-eaten; size, 8<sup>8/8</sup> in. by 4<sup>3/4</sup> in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
