(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a> <strong>number 3033 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>717</p> <p>‘Ajâ’ib-alaḳâlîm (عجائب الاقاليم ).</p> <p>A compendium of cosmography by an anonymous author, written, as Rieu i. p. 417 proves, about A.H. 908 or 909 (A.D. 1502, 1503), and dedicated to the wazîr Ghiyâth-almillah wa aldunyâ wa-aldin Ḥabîb-allâh (see here, fol. 114<sup>a</sup>, ll. 12 and 13). It is divided into a <em>mu</em><em>ḳaddimah</em>, on geometry (در بيان آشنائى كه مقاصد برآن موقوفست ), on fol. 114<sup>a</sup>, last line; <em>two</em> <em>ma</em><em>ḳâlas</em>, 1.Measurement and division of the globe and detailed account of the seven climates ( در مساحت سطح ارض و تعيين اقاليم و آنچه بدان متعلّق است ), on fol. 116<sup>a</sup>; 2.Measurement of the spheres and stars, etc. ( در معرفت مساحت افلاك و كواكب و آنچه بدان متعلّقست), on fol.155<sup>a</sup>; and a <em>khâtimah</em> on the times of prayers and the ḳiblah ( در ملحقات ), on fol. 160<sup>b</sup>.</p> <p>Beginning: الحمد لله الذى زيّن السماء بزينة الكواكب و نوّر وجه الغبراء الخ.</p> <p>Dated by Malik Muḥammad ibn Ḥâjî, end of Rajab, A.H. 1024 (A.D. 1615, August 25).</p> <p>No. 3033, ff. 113-165, ll. 20; Nasta’lîḳ; size, 10 in. by 5<sup>3/8</sup> in.</p> <p> </p>
