Sculpture of a Roman gladiator **A 3D model of an eighteenth-century bronze sculpture created by Pius Weloński (1849–1931).** This figurative, whole-body sculpture depicts a Roman gladiator with an upraised arm. The pedestal bears the following inscription: Ave Caesar! Morituri, salutant [Long live Caesar! Those who are going to die greet you]. The gladiator is – judging by his props – most likely a retiarius [net-fighter].
