Wmid-a2f60e - Post Medieval shoe buckle
An incomplete copper alloy rectangular shoe or knee buckle of Post Medieval dating (AD 1680 to AD 1720). The buckle frame is rectangular. The frame has been decorated with four transverse grooves either end of the spindle. The outer edges are expanded at the centre point, with two notches removed from the edge. The frame is drilled for a separate spindle. The chape is incomplete, with the attachment end missing. The pin is triangular.
