Tensile tests on PMMA plate with circular hole: images from high frequency camera

Campaign of tensile tests on PMMA plates with a circular hole in the middle and bending tests on PMMA specimens with a V-notch

Various radii were tested for the circular hole specimens.

Various V-notch angles and specimen height were tested for the V-notch specimens.

PMMA elastic constant: E = 2.85 GPa, nu = 0.44 (determined from tensile test on flat dog-bone specimen + digital image correlation using Ufreckles (J.Rethoré software)).

PMMA fracture properties: Sigma_c = 50 MPa, G_c = 0.3 MPa.mm (determined by inverse identification using the coupled criterion (see Leguillon EJM A/S 2002) on bending tests on PMMA specimens with a V-notch.

Tests conducted in displacement control, with a loading rate of 0.5 mm/min

Acquisition data, e.g. frequency and pixel size can be found in each test .cine file. Camera was a Phantom V2012
