Pyen 758 wordlist, Speaker C

<p>Draft English/Burmese/Shan wordlist, unsplit files for Pyen words&nbsp;262-370, and&nbsp;individual files for Pyen words 1-261 and&nbsp;371-758,&nbsp;collected from&nbsp;Speaker C.</p> <p>Additional words &#39;tooth&#39;, &#39;neck&#39;, &#39;foot&#39;, &#39;eye&#39;, &#39;hand&#39;, &#39;stomach&#39;, &#39;wisdom&#39;, &#39;son-in-law&#39;, &#39;Pyen ethnic group&#39;, &#39;hunt (v)&#39;, &#39;ring (verb only)&#39;, &#39;remove hair from corn&#39;, &#39;many&#39;, &#39;tether (verb only)&#39;, &#39;arrow&#39;, &#39;earthworm&#39;, &#39;chicken&#39;, &#39;pig&#39;, &#39;dog&#39;, &#39;cat&#39;, &#39;elephant&#39; (recorded&nbsp;in place of 726 &#39;rhinoceros&#39;) and&nbsp;&#39;tiger&#39;&nbsp;were recorded.</p> <p>6 &#39;throat&#39; is incorrectly translated into Burmese as &#39;neck&#39;, so both&nbsp;&#39;neck&#39; and &#39;throat&#39; were recorded.</p> <p>Speaker C records 43 and 44 as&nbsp;the same word, likewise 295 and 296, 606 and 608, etc.</p> <p>Two separate terms for 157 were recorded, &#39;prevent by standing in front of&#39; and &#39;prevent by e.g. catching&nbsp;smthng that is&nbsp;&nbsp;falling&#39;.</p> <p>Two separate terms for 204 were recorded, &#39;grandfather&#39; and &#39;grandmother&#39;.</p> <p>Speaker C records 220 as &#39;my brother&#39;s daughter&#39;; compare with&nbsp;Speaker B.</p> <p>Words 261-265 were mistakenly&nbsp;referred to as 251-255 in the recording, as noted in the file name.</p> <p>396 &#39;tattoo&#39; is incorrectly translated&nbsp;into Burmese on the wordlist as &#39;taboo&#39;. Clarification was made during elicitation.</p> <p>476 &#39;kitchen&#39; is a duplicate of 474 &#39;kitchen&#39; on the wordlist.</p> <p>695 is incorrectly translated into Burmese on the wordlist.&nbsp;</p> <p>744 &#39;crow&#39; is incorrectly&nbsp;translated&nbsp;into Burmese on the wordlist as &#39;crow (v)&#39;. Clarification was made during elicitation.</p> <p>Speaker C said 746 &#39;parrot&#39; existed, but not in their area, so there is not a Pyen word.</p> <p>Speaker C knew words 7, 115, 145, 230, 231, 271, 584, 673&nbsp;and 692&nbsp;existed, but could not recall them. Some Burmese and Shan loan words were also recorded.</p> <p>Speaker C was unsure&nbsp;words 353, 385,&nbsp;386, 600, 666, 714, 715, 726, 730, 731 and 749&nbsp;existed in the language.</p>
