<p>Phase portrait of ion-acoustic waves for the dynamical system of the mKdV equation. There are three types of wave trajectories namely, nonlinear periodic trajectory (NPT) and nonlinear homoclinic trajectory (NHT) enclosing one equilibrium point with no separatrix, and supernonlinear periodic trajectory (SNPT) enclosing three equilibrium points with one separatrix. </p>
