FIGURES 34–39: Luticola galapagoensis sp. nov. SEM images. External valve views. Note the presence of narrow, straight axial area, expanded at the centre to form a wide, rectangular fascia extended out to nearly the margin, with 3–4 areolae on either side at the margin, and on one side with additional opening of stigma foramen (arrow in Fig. 39). Striae comprised of 3–6 rectangular or dash-like areolae. Note the external central raphe endings bent towards valve primary side (arrows in Fig. 37).
