Figure 9. Trap used to capture C. alleganiensis in the Allegheny River drainage during the summers of 2004 and 2005. Bait (White sucker, Catostomus commersonii) was attached to the inside of the hinged door of a wire mesh cage. The bait cage was later removed and replaced using plastic zip ties.
