Self Protection Tip For Preventing Violence Against Women

<p>During the Sabai Webinar Series 16, hosted by the Shwetaungthagathu Reform Initiative Centre (SRIc), Burmese Experts, including Ms Khin Lay Nwe Tun, Gender Consultant, Yangon Thu Michelle, Social Influencer and Ms Nay Chi Thel Kyaw Tun, Women Advocate engaged in a discussion to address how Myanmar women can protect themselves from the gender-based violence (GBV) they frequently encounter in their daily lives. This webinar aligns with the vision of UN Sustainable Development Goal 5, which aims to achieve gender equality.</p> <p>They highlighted legal protections are available to women in Myanmar against violence and shared practical self-defence tips to safeguard against physical attacks.</p> <p>Given the current situation of violence faced by women in Myanmar, this webinar is an essential event for obtaining valuable advice and support.</p>
