FLIPS: Flickr Images from Mountain National Parks

<p>FLIPS (Flickr Images from Mountain National Parks) is a new dataset comprising photos showcasing human interactions with nature. This collection, sourced from the social media platform Flickr, includes images shared from 2015 to 2022 across eight mountain national parks: seven in Spain (Teide, Sierra Nevada, Sierra de las Nieves, Guadarrama, Picos de Europa, Ordesa y Monte Perdido, and Aig&uuml;estortes i Estany de Sant Maurici) and one in Portugal (Peneda-Ger&ecirc;s).</p> <p>The FLIPS dataset includes 960 images representing six CES (Cultural Ecosystem Services) categories:</p> <p>(1) Cultural-Religious.</p> <p>(2) Fauna-Flora.</p> <p>(3) Gastronomy.</p> <p>(4) Landscape-Nature.</p> <p>(5) Sport.</p> <p>(6) Urban-Rural.</p> <p>Each category is represented by 160 carefully curated images, reflecting diverse ways in which people engage with nature.</p>
