Although Amblyrhiza was larger than Xaymaca by two orders of magnitude, general shape, orientation, and lack of ornamentation of cylindriform alveoli are similar (cf. fig. 9). One conspicuous difference is complete fusion of hemimandibles at mental symphysis in Amblyrhiza.
